Just read on twitter that samsung will no longer update his Pro series tablets. I got angry busted the warranty&knox and installed cyanogenmod on my device! First I tried the Heimdall method, but after installing the usblib with zadig and executing the CMD command it failed. Hours later I came across your videos and everything went fine with these simple methods. Thank you Rootjunky !

Thanks for all the videos! Just a quick question. I have rooted pretty much every device I have once the warranty expires. Is there any reason to NOT root this? I hear a lot about KNOX and I've never used anything to do with it since my tablet is my own personal tablet with no affiliation to my work. If I've never used KNOX in the almost 1.5 years I've owned this, is there any need to preserve it? Thanks again for all you do!

Got Odin to finish but my tablet made the unconnecting sound just as it was finishing, and it did the same thing when I tried again. It now won't boot up and is displaying "COULD NOT BOOT, ODIN MODE" and towards the bottom includes "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0X1" and "UDC START". It won't turn on properly and I'm fine if I'm not able to root it and put CM on like I had planned, I just need help getting it back to working order.

Hi there. I have just purchased the frontier s3 gear and then realised that my pro 8.4 isn't one of the supported devices to use the Samsung Gear App for the gear s3 frontier. Do you think if I root my pro 8.4 to marshmallow that this would help with this problem?
I was actually checking this video out to see if I could use my pro 8.4 as a phone. From what I understand, it comes with the snapdragon 800 which is said to have an LTE module. Is this possible? If not, what other features would be of benefit from rooting this tablet (i.e. right click menu, overclocking, removing unnecessary spyware/factory installed programs, etc.)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I tried but it a didn't add the device in odin, I tried with Samsung usb drivers it didn't add it, then I installed kies and it didn't again, I can't find the problem...It didn't even connect to the tablet to kies... what is going on??
+TheFiggRig I went ahead and shut the device down and restarted it. then I went and clicked on disable , this time it seemed to have worked. Unfortunately the device reboots at random once the power level comes down to 80%. I read ok net that it's due to KNOX not being removed completely.

I have the tablet and everything went as advertised! The only problem I have is that the "Disabling Knox" step stays in a constant "Disabling Knox" loading screen. Any suggestions?
Hey Root junkie I have a Samsung tab a sm-T357T rooted and was wondering how to install a custom recovery for this tablet please reply back letting me know if possible because I tried twrp and it bricked my device ,but I have successfully returned to stock then I was able to root again; so if there is a possible compatible custom recovery please let me know.
Not a step by step instruction video for everything you need. Extracted but does not contain any of the driver files. I open oden and it's just blank. Not sure where you got those but there not in the CF root root junky downloads. The link to Samsung Drivers doesn't take you to Samsung drivers.
My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, T325 LTE model I currently have problem rooting using T325 at the CF Website It say DONE at odin, and i reboot my tablet, Super User not found in app drawer. So i factory reset and redownload it. Done the same method and still Super User not found in app drawer.
You are genius... just genius. My Tab Pro 8.4 will not run some of the newer apps because of the age of the Android build (original). Does this automatically upgrade the O.S. as newer versions come out? Thanks.
Jong Wang Seng My attempt to root mine wouldn't work either and it was stuck without being able to shut down even. Here is how I returned it to kitkat and full functioning: at the same time hold down the power button and volume-down until it reboots and asks if you're sure you want to change the OS. Then volume-down to cancel rooting/OS change. Good luck!
If i root my divice, can somehow unroot and restore them as it was when i got it? Like this i dont lose my warranty if i wanna use it. Can this be done?
Rooted just fine with these instructions then attempted to flash cm 12 lollipop with TWRP and for whatever reason it tripped Knox. Now I can't root or flash. Any ideas?
I Have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (8") its a T334A. cant seem to get it to work. every time I run Odin and select file, it fails. what could I be doing wrong? or does my tablet not support this root method?
Question: My 8.4 was using the stock firmware when I bought it. Then I used towelroot and it worked, installed supersu and other stuff. .. Recently, there was a 300 mb update for the system, which was downloaded automatically OTA. When it installed, root was gone and towelroot didn't work anymore possibly because of the kernel update. Question is: if I use cf auto root now (kernel version is 3.4.0-2690686 now), will I get root again? I'm asking this because your video was made probably using the stock firmware, before this kinda recent update by Samsung

Followed this video exactly Even though rootchecker said my tablet was rooted, it's now saying it's no longer rooted. I was pretty excited to root my tablet :( Also, the binaries won't update at all.
The VolumeUp button of my device seems to be broken, so I am not able to get into download/odin mode. Is there any way to get into download mode without pressing the volume up button?

For any of you wondering if this method will work on the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, the answer is....YeS! You will obviously need the correct file for the 10.1, but the method is the same. One thing to note here....before rooting, I had been running an app called "package disabler pro". It's a paid app that disables all the Samsung bloat, including KNOX. I got absolutely no KNOX warnings whatsoever after rooting. I'm sure the counter is still tripped, but even on reboot, there's no KNOX notifications at all. No boot loops, no erratic behavior from the Tablet. It's all good....
Im trying to install the drivers but there are no videos to follow. When i download Samsung drivers is it being downloaded to the computer are tablet? How many files should it be if so because my computer has multiple files (14 total that downloaded)..Also odin3 v3.12.3 looks totally different when i open it, is are no file download of file dump located to the right of the log. can you please help me

tried this, it is now stuck on the android logo/downloading/do not turn off target, and I can't get anything to work or reboot. Trying the power button just brings it back to this view. I have a brick...it won't even shut down. "could not do normal boot" in red at the top, UDC START in red at bottom of messages in upper left corner. Nothing else. Any suggestions? It is stuck on this view and won't reboot. I've run and re-run Odin several times, ends up the same place... Galaxy pro 8.4 tm320, kitkat 4.4.2 Fortunately I've been able to return it to running on kitkat by holding down the power button and the volume-down button at the same time until it asks if I really want to change OS. Then it's the volume down button again to cancel and return to kitkat.
weird.... I followed all procedures exactly the same and no signal pop up from Odin 3.07. I've been doing this several times and ........... I DON'T KNOW. I have no idea :(

Worked ,... a little trick , if the superSU dosent desable the knox at first try you need to force the supersu process ,go to play store try to download and whe you receive the message that already have have the program click in open and try it again, dont know why it worked to me.
OK, I tried this (Samuel's trick) but I couldn't do anything in Play Store - it showed two buttons, Update and Open, but tapping either one did nothing. I then simply rebooted the tablet, opened SuperSU again, and now it disabled Knox in less than a second. I also had the problem of "Disabling Knox in SuperSU never finishing". So at least for me, a simple reboot did the job!
