Mistakes 1. Don't realise the advantage of this time 2. Over focus on current affairs and newspaper 3. Waste time finding 'study groups' on telegram 4. Feed into social media amd distractions 5. Constantly change your goals 6. Don't follow a concrete plan 7. Procrastinate 'everything' 8. Rely solely on motivation, not on discipline 9. The 0 to 100 problem 10. Always blame others and external factors
I dont have any of these problems. I study 8-10 on regular basis without being lazy ( in last few months i only took break when body refused to work i.e i was unwell) , my screen time is 1-2 hrs a day that too with no social media apps. But, problem with me is self doubt- I am working as hard as i could , will it be rewarded? Or i will be among those upsc aspirants who ultimately settled for less.. only thing which keeps me going is hanuman ji, i am sure he would be watching me doing all the hardwork, and i know he will sooner or later reward me for my hard work. ❤
Ni , if you are devoting your time sincerely , to doubt bilkul ni krna , unpredictable jaisa kuch ni hai , jo mehnat krta hai , usko reward milta hai , ap kr re ho to ap select hoge , keep it up

Sir 8 hours ka target nahi ho pa rha h , I am trying to study but reaching upto only 6 to 7 hours . 2025 is my 3rd attempt but dar lagta h ki nahi hua to kya . Although I have planned for backup options but backup me bhi level 1 se hi start ho ga and I am going behind from my peers and college friend
i admit that i am doing some of the above mistake but i will try to fix it as soon as possible just a suggestion we really feel accountable and a sense of responsibility when i listen you so if its is possible for u to take just an interactive informal session on weekend
Based on my experience, I would recommend sociology, but the call is totally yours. I took psir then shifted to sociology, Based on my past experiences, Sociology is constantly performing well. Geography is becoming dicey due its unpredictability with current affairs and huge syllabus but if you are interested in geography it's totally fine to go with it. Sociology on the other hand has quite smaller syllabus and easy to understand but that depends on the faculty you choose. And any optional at beginning seems difficult to grasp but over a period of time u will get in line with the subject.

Sir, I started my preparation 2 months back and done with the Geo and Economy only. So, after watching so many videos on youtube about Mains preparation in the next 3 months, I am confused whether to do Mains preparation now or complete the static GS part like History, Polity, Sci & tech and Env. It would be great if you please provide your insight in this.
Without foundation you won't understand the mains syllabus,so better do your foundation and optional together and if time is left then till Feb do the remaining mains part such as ethics.

Hii bro Same problem here Bas fark itna hai ki Mujhe iss baat ka darr lgra h ki Mai sirf ek BA graduate hu Wo bhi kam cgpa k sath Aur humesha lgta h engineering nhi kri toh mera upsc nhi ho skta Qki mostly engineers hi list me dikhte h Ik aur v hai par I said mostly. Isliye tension na lo Jo ho Jaha ho Jo Kiya hai Bas Uspe confidence rkho Qki bahot sare logg wha v nahi hai. All the best. Darna chhodo Aur pdhna chalu kro.

If you are preparing for this exam and belongs to middle class please first achieve you goal Bhai relationship ruins your state of your mind no one will come to save your golden time and at the end you end with just ₹10 in pocket and dead dreams with sleepless night.

Sir , all the points you've mentioned are real thing, all that I'm facing right now , procrastination is my biggest enemy right now but sir I don't know what to do I'm trying everything to increase my focus but I am unable to sit continuously and focus.
