If you serve the "Curious Pizza" you can also get tons of sims abducted by aliens and having alien babies. I tested this with my Super Sim because his kids live in the same neighborhood as my Super Sim. I went to his kids' house a little while later to find the two that had the pizza got abducted by aliens and one of them is currently pregnant. LOL!
I love that the food stands are portable. I've been having a good time just with a mother/daughter team who lives in an apartment and sell food around town. I always love it when I can keep my Sims from getting a career.
Fun fact: The Fresh Chef Reward Trait also extends to Prepped Ingredients. If you use the mixer to make Prepped Ingredients and have the Fresh Chef Trait, they won't ever spoil. This allows you to mass produce and pre-stock as many Prepped Ingredients as you like for future use. Also, if you have Fresh Chef, the dished you sell at the food stand also wont spoil. Any leftover servings from the previous sale can be put back out without issue. If anyone would like a premade house set up for Home Chef cooking and Food Stand sales, I created one for the 40x20 Lot in San Sequoia and posted it to the Gallery. The name of the Lot is "74 Commerce Ct."
I was wondering whether the Marketable trait would work here. I'm happy to learn that it does! When you change your stall's name in the Manage Business Details area, you can also click the picture to change the business icon. Sadly, it doesn't show up on the stall, though. Something I found when trying to do the "Sell a poor quality item" bit of one of the new aspirations: As it can be tough to actually make a poor quality food by the time you get to this stage of the aspiration, due to high Cooking skill, Foodie or Perfectionist traits, or the bonus trait from Food aspirations, "Dive for Meals" in a dumpster is a good way to procure a poor quality dish to sell. Some dishes could be sold, while others could not, yet it's worth trying. I also had luck having a different Sim (with low skill) in the household cook something while in a bad mood, which gave me something Poor quallity to sell. Thanks for another helpful video, Petey!
I love how much vertical integration the food stand gets with Cool Kitchen and Movie Hangout stuff packs. This makes me wonder if you have any new ideas on what these new appliances could add when opening a restaurant? Because I think starting a pizzeria or waffle-house with the dough mixer, along with the pizza oven and waffle maker could make for a good companion video to this one. At least that's something I think you should consider.
Pizza + nectar, waffles + ice cream, popcorn + hot dogs (especially if someone has made a lot to watch the movies outside) and I've seen a child selling lemonade and ice cream on a hot summer day getting "the coolest vendor on the street" buff. PS. An evil scheme to get rich - selling bad quality puffer fish nigiri followed by selling ambrosia to the ghosts (when you sell it to a ghost the price doubles).
People have complained the mixer is expensive. I don’t think they’ve ever bought a Kitchenaid. Lol. $750 is right on target. That’s probably why that’s so expensive.
You are the most under-rated simmer. Every-time my game feels stale I go to one of your videos. Now I’m doing the food stand to get enough money to open a bakery (another one of your videos).
Nice tutorial! To protect my appliances I first tried the Throwing Shade Awning (Island Living), it fit perfectly over the space but didn’t protect anything. Next I made a dedicated spot for the stand (at home) with two walls, platform, spandrels and columns and that perfectly protects everything, even in a storm. :D So: have a dedicated spot or sell inside community lots with enough interior space.

I’m really struggling with the “sell an item of bad quality for 100 simoleons” aspiration goal. I tried selling a bad quality fried chicken, but for some reason it didn’t register. Does it have to be waffles or pizzas? 🤔
Doesn't it have to be over a certain value? I'm struggling with this too as my sim is a level 9 cook by now and can't cook bad food. I even got him electrocuted and stinky and he was still able to make excellent quality food!
Planning to do this because Dine Out is so buggy, it’s so boring to watch it haha. Once I move out of my micro home, will do this. My sims is raking money from selling drinks alone at 500% mark up. I can’t even complete my Making Money Quest because I am so distracted doing pop up stores lol
Smartest way to make money of food stand. Have maxed out cooking skills, cook a couple grand meals, mark up to 300%. Each plate is S300 and there is no other food for them to cheap out. I made 4,500 in one 5hr session. I restored my needs and ran the event a second time. I made about 8,400 total. Lowest day i had doing this 4,200. Btw your neighbourhood gets fat so your gonna have to make groups and become a pt, swapping sims in and out 😂🤣
This pack is adorable I dig it, but I'm still experiencing pesky lags where sims will just stand around and not do the actions until I hit pause or something. I play on the console too, this shouldn't be a thing for a game I pay so much for 🤣😤😮💨
Omg I thought it was just me. Especially bc as console players we can't have mods or cc so we have to pay for EVERYTHING we want in our game🙄, ea can at least fix stupid glitches and lags after me paying hundreds of dollars for decent CAS and build mode
Odd Creature! I'm finding the same thing in my game. I cannot sell baked goods to the local bakery unless I make them on the whipped dream cupcake factory. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or intentional though.
Anyone else having problems with MAJOR amounts of fires with these appliances????? It’s getting ridiculous in my save files; usually I just exit the game before it can save so they don’t die, once I just let it happen so that I could make and try out the vitality nectar ha!!!!! The sims has made me sadistic methinks lol 😅
@@PeteyPlaysIt Yep! Apparently it’s a bug, I was watching some thing about it on another channel. They had better fix it fast because I don’t use the appliances anymore. Especially because the firefighters have been useless! It’s just craziness, I feel let down I was so excited for the pack when I first got it! Hopefully they fix it soon!

You shouldn't have to literally drag anything into your inventory. I don't know what buttons/keys do it on Xbox/PC/Mac (or your platform), but on PS4, which I play on, you can instantly put anything into your inventory by selecting the item and then pressing Square. I suggest hitting up a forum or Reddit and asking how to you can do it on your platform.
if someone has an issue, of sims stopping sale by themselves (usually after waving bye to some simmers).. I have a workaround: you have to give them another task after selecting tend the market (like idk washing hands). you're welcome :)

I'm purchasing this packs today. I couldn't wait for this video to come out so Petey, I have a question since we no longer need a big cupcake machine I noticed that we can't sell cupcakes for money to the local bakery made from the oven have you noticed that or is it a glitter in the game. Help help😮
@@PeteyPlaysIt Sims is rather realistic in that regard. Even naked people wouldn't stop me from buying ice cream either lol. It's even funnier with the wonderful/wicked whims moodlets that allow sims to judge the "attractiveness" of naked sims and sims in general. The moodlets when a sim thinks another is ugly are particularly hilarious XD
And Salim Benali (is it him?) at 2:35 is so pleased with the Ice-Cream, that he decides to get naked after eating it... Hmm, could you maybe give me the recipe? So, I've just started a game playing with a Vampire Sim. I'm planning on making 'em a rancher that runs a Plasma Fruit farm and produces Plasma Fruit Nectar and Fizzy Juice (and probably other Plasma Fruit drinks/dishes too, once I figure out what they are and how to make them). Of course, they should eventually be able to sustain themselves from the fruit production, but I'd also like to have 'em sell their production to other vampires (and some too curious Sims). My question is: It would be better for them to open a Food Stand or a Retail Shop? By "better" I mean "fun and practical"; I'm not too worried about money (I think... Should I be worried about money?). I'm also tempted to try something similar with a Spellcaster that have a Potion Shop, but the Vampire idea sounds more fun.
Hi. So i just bought the home shef hustle stuff pack. I tried to sell my food that i made with the new food stand just for the home shef hustle pack. The problem is I can NOT drag anything weather food or items into the above iventory from the bottom one. I play on console and NOT pc as it looks you CAN only do thst drag thing on pc. So my question is, HOE do I drag anything weather food or items into the above inventory from the bottom one when I play on console. IF you can HELP me to answer this question or help me to figure this problem out i'd be happy to hear any ideas for this. Its pretty fustrating to me rite now. I just can not get this to work on Xbox as you can’t drag inventory into the stalls inventory! It is so frustrating and the packs a complete waste of money 😭
Just wondering (because I've had to restart quite a few times since getting the pack): I'm lost regarding the food stand banner. I was thinking that when you choose your logo and name, it would change the banner on the stand (to match the logo you choose), but it doesn't. At least for me. Is that everybody's experience, or is there something wrong with my game?
There’s something new in that it tells you how much you sold of each item which is pretty cool to see. Also you can convince sims to buy certain items as well, like if food is expiring soon you can sell it faster that way 😅
I also had my sims fame increase after selling food for a while. And watching sims sit down and eat if you make a restaurant type set up indoors is fun
It's hilarious how Maxis couldn't get the mixer to work properly. Real mixers don't stop and go while mixing. If Maxis actually tried to get everything to work properly, I might consider purchasing this DLC.
