Just wanna say that this video saved a life. I found a tiny kitty less than a pound in the middle of a highway. A year later she is thriving in her new home.
I found a 1 week old kitten in a box next to the garbage and took her in... I've had little kittens before just not this young! Im always stressed and afraid I'll hurt her or screw smthng up😭
@@xothugger she grew up well and became a lovely adult cat that i adored , sadly my parents did the thing where they gave her to someone else when i was not home (to be fair they did that cuz my brother had an allergy) but i was extremely angry and hurt. I nagged those who took her to show me pics and they sent a video of her like twice then i didn't want to bother them anymore and stopped asking. It's been almost a year now but i still miss her❤️
I must have watched this 80+ times just to make sure I’m doing everything right. I have it memorized at this point, but watch it anyways just for the validation that I’m doing ok😂 I just got my first foster kitties from the San Diego nursery! You’ve given me the confidence to do something I’ve always wanted to do! Thank you! 🖤
How did it go? :0 Now I'm doing it with my new orphan kitten and I'm wacthing this like you like over and over again, I'm from Mexico so pls forgive my poor English xD
Daniela Sandoval your English is great!! It seriously went so so well. I’m on my 5th set of babies now! At first it’s difficult not to second guess everything you’re doing, but after a while you can recognize the signs for what they want and need. You really end up becoming so in tune with them! It makes it that much more difficult to see them leave, but I always make sure that they get the most loving homes:) let me know how you’re doing!
@@zoeyxxx879 how do you get babies so fast? I am signed up with the SD Humane Society and I have been looking for babies to foster for 2-3 months! Were you put onto the foster blog? Do you know any ways I could possibly foster faster? Thank you xx
Yesterday I found 5, 2 week old kittens, their mother died 2 days ago, She was poisoned by one of our neighbours. Now I am taking care of 5 kittens, They are so cute and beautiful. Kittens are so hyperactive and they are meowing so much. Rest in peace.
@Milka Irungu i know, my classmate asked me what to do because her dad air gunned the mother cat because he saw her eating one of his chickens. i mean, she just had a new born babies
Pug Potato Chips i have a cat (its very technically not mine but the owners didn't care that we took care of it since they left it, the cat was malnourished at first. then the owners just moved away, leaving the cat so its ours now) and im allergic but idc, because i love cats. also on my last vacation, i lived with 2 kittens
Just saved a stray one month old. She is very emaciated 😢😢 but I took her to the vet immediately. And got rid of her fleas, cleaned her ears, I am treating her for worms too. It has been a long time since I have owned a kitten. I love her so much. And she just wants to cuddle. Poor thing. She had an eye glued shut from infection. But, we were able to clean her.
I whas anyone seen those peeps who are under eighteen say there ages a lot...... stop saying your ages everyone can go there whole life without knowing that and I'm not talking about like "oh when I'm older I wanna do _ _ _ _ _ blah blah" I mean "I'm six and I wanna foster care when I'm older" no offense to anyone who does that just..... just stop it it's mildly anoying
Last week, my neighbor showed up at our four with an abandoned kitten. None of the shelters or rescue groups could take her, so I just started binging your videos. Little Peanut has been with us for a week, now; and has stolen our hearts. Tonight we started litter training. She's doing great, and that's largely thanks to you. Thank you.
Just be sure to get the little one spayed/neutered, two months or two pounds. Vaccination, deworming and all that veterinarian care. Good luck with your new family member.
Ty ty ty! My dog found an itty bitty baby on the porch last night and he was still there this morning, umbilical cord and placenta still attached but shriveled up. The local rescue didn't have any available foster moms for him but the brought me a bottle and a can of KNR and I couldn't get him to eat all morning but I watched this video and we just had a successful two minute nurse and a successful potty afterwards.
A couple weeks ago, I saw someone throw a little kitten out of a moving car. We immediately picked him up and brought him to our local shelter. The kitten was 4 weeks old at the time, but after 2 weeks, the shelter could no longer take care of him. I called my instructor and she said she really wanted the kitten. We named him Wheels and he is a very healthy kitten now.
How could someone throw a living baby from a moving car. Have they no soul? So what if they are animals. I am astonished by the cruelty. The person easily could have given it to a shelter or so. I mean throwing a living, breathing baby from a moving car....
Thank you so much, I'm educating myself in case I would be able to foster kittens myself. As for today, my parents won't let me because I'm only 17 and living with them but you never know what the future holds 😺💕
I certainly think you could handle the responsibility at your age. If you love cats and want to help, maybe you can volunteer at your local shelter like I do.
I’ve been fostering kittens for over a year now and yesterday I took in my first set of bottle baby kittens! Your videos have been a lifesaver for the past year thank you kitten lady!
I need to thank you, my cousin found a 10 days old kitten, very malnourished and full of parasites, she took him to the vet, which confirmed that he doesn't have a mum and she's now taking care of him, although she has no experience. You're helping her to help the kitten, that is only 110 g... at 10 days old, he said that it is more than likely that the mother was young and had only a kitten, so the hormones didn't kick in. Rn the kitten is sleeping on a warm bottle, with a belly full of kittens formula. Again, thank you.
I found two kittens a year ago. Their mom didn't come in three days and the kittens looked in such a bad shape and some kids threw the kittens into some spiky area where they got circular cactus bits all over their body. It took me hours to get rid of the cactus and clean them up. And I just couldn't leave them there.
I'm getting two 4 and a half week old kitties today, you're a lifesaver. I'm going to feed until 5 weeks, then help them wean to meat! Thank you so much!♡
Hey there kitten lady I just heard about you in a RU-vid video I'm very proud of you and what you do I think God gave you a calling and I suggest you follow it you're doing such good things for these kittens that need love and appreciation you should write a how-to book on how to deal with kittens and actually might come in handy you never know you could use the proceeds to help your organization just a thought God bless you lady you're a good person don't let anybody tell you otherwise
I was very successful following these instruction when I first got my kittens, but I failed miserably on the adoption part. They are over 3 years old now and think I'm their mommy.
One of my cats today had a litter of two, and the first born was ungodly tiny. Thanks to all of your videos I've watched today, Cupcake might have a chance at life and I cannot thank you enough. I've learned to feed, help the tiny baby use the bathroom, and other things needed for comfort. Thank you.
Your videos are saving my life right, we had a mama cat who all of a sudden didn't come back for her four kittens. They are only 3 weeks old. We had absolutely no idea even on where to start when it came to taking care of them and I came across your videos and they have been so helpful.
I can't thank you enough for your videos! I found an orphaned 1 week old kitten and if it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't been able to take good care of him...
Thankyou so much someone threw a kitten out in my yard today and now i can feed her properly it scared me when she slept so much but now since ive watched your channel i feel better
I want to express my extreme gratitude for all of your helpful advice on your website and your videos. I work at a pet rescue center and on August 28, a woman came in with a tiny kitten. This kitten she claimed to have found in a Park in 90 degree weather, and was unable to keep it due to her brother being allergic. She estimated the kitten’s age to three weeks. But when we researched more, we discovered she was way off. The poor kitten was only a little over a week old and was crying so loudly because she was starving. So I called our Vet Tech, hoping to find a foster to take a bottle baby, but was told they were all full. This was when my mom and I made the momentous, life-changing decision to foster her. The lady left after she sure we were taking her home, without filling out paperwork. Now, Autumn is nearing six-weeks old and is thriving. My mom and I were freaking out because we had never taken care of such a small creature without a mother before. But our Vet Tech gave us a quick run-by-run off the necessary supplies and instructions to care for her. While we were still confused and wanted the best for her, I remember coming across your videos awhile before and suggested it to my mother. So since that day, we have been coming to you to learn how properly care for Autumn and make sure we were doing everything properly. Thank you so much for doing what you do and sharing your knowledge with the world. It really had made a difference. And we are even going to end up keeping Autumn :)
I love your videos!! When I move out of my current (no cats allowed) apartment then I plan to foster adults for my local shelter. I never would have known how to do it, or even that it was something anyone can do with the right materials and education, without your videos. Once I get the hang of fostering adults, I'd love to foster moms with babies, and maybe someday when I'm out of college, I can try my hand at fostering orphans. Thank you for all you do!!
I rescued an orphaned kitten on the 19th of October she was roughly a few days old. I watched momma kitty and she turned her back to her and kept pushing her away. It was cold and wet outside So my husband and I decided that it was time to care for this little one. This is my first bottle baby and I’m very strict on her care. My husband is a very well seasoned veterinary technician and Im thankful he knows what he’s doing. She’s thriving and very spunky. Her name in punkin and I’m so in love with her. Thank you for your videos I often find myself referring to them for my own piece of mind and help . Even though my husband has experience 😂 I just want the best for this little one and I will do whatever it takes for her care.
I could just cry. Thank you so much for all this information. You answered every single question I had, and I had a lot. I’m pacing the floors because my cat had her first litter and promptly abandoned them. There were 5, 2 died in the next few days because I didn’t know what to do. My other cat had a litter, but Xena is an experienced mother, having already had 3 beautiful litters. Xena brought all her 5 kittens to wear I had the abandoned kittens and took over nursing. Thank God! I thought my problems were solved and I could just sit back and watch them grow. Well, it seems that after 2 weeks, Xena is exhausted, even though I’ve been feeding her double portions of food, fresh meat and warm milk. Long story short, Xena stopped nursing the orphans altogether. So, I have 3 kittens under a month old and no knowledge of caring for them. Thank you with all my heart! I don’t feel so panicky and scared and lost. Thank you and God bless you.
Seriously? Why would anyone hit "dislike" on these videos? She does a fantastic job explaining procedure, technique and step by step instructions. With so many abandoned and feral cats having kittens, these videos are such a blessing for those of us who have rescued a litter of abandoned kittens at one time or another. Thanks to Kitten Lady, I was able to save and nurture eight little kittens until they were old enough to find their forever home - one little guy ended up staying and is now part of our family! Yes, there are cat rescue organizations. But what happens if you rescue a litter of newborn kittens on a Saturday night and cannot talk to a vet, and don't know what to do? Watch Kitten Lady - she'll show you what to do to make sure these poor innocent babies at least have a chance at survival. Thank you Kitten Lady! You are truly a Godsend for animal lovers and baby kittens everywhere!
This video really helped! A lady found a newborn kitten. It was really cold outside and she almost died. She gave the kitten to my dads insurance customer and she brought her into his office and when she was old enough she gave my kitten to us! She is 3 and a half weeks old. Thanks for the help!
My nephew got an orphaned kitten today and these videos are so helpful as she's maybe 4 weeks old. We bathed her cuz of fleas and now are looking for supplies to start bottle feeding.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've just found two kittens by my house, and I waited about 3 hours to see if their mother was going to come back. I assumed the mother abandoned them because of their condition. They were meowing because of the dirt and eye boogers covering their eyes, so they couldn't see... They are now with me safe and sound and your videos helped me gain a lot of knowledge on kitten care!
I have my first kitten i dont know how to feed it i just bought a kitten milk formula now im spending whole night just to feed it on time my kitten is like 2-3 weeks old
@@SaresuGaming Ah, bless you for caring enough to be a momma to this baby who needs you. I noticed your comment is from 2 weeks ago. I hope all is going well and your baby is thriving? If you follow Kitten Lady's advice, you're half way there! Please don't give up. It does get easier and very quickly if you nurture him/her properly. Good luck!
Called an emergency vet as my wife sound a tiny, dirty little kitten, and of course brought it home. They told me what I had to do immediately and to look up your RU-vid. Thanks for being a resource.
I have 2 - 3-4 week kittens that I received and was told they were 8 weeks and weaned for 1 week already. Both very thin and not interested in formula but also with diarrhea. Spent the last 2 getting them both on formula and get them healthy. These videos are helping so much and both have been slowly adapted back to the formula and gaining weight. Hopefully diarrhea stops very soon. It is less liquid finally
I'm currently feeding a 2 week old orphan. This video was super helpful. Though I found im doing a lot right, there's a few things I didn't know. Thank you.
How did it go? i found a little kitten and i really want it to live. I do my best following advices from experts, vets, and some videos... Did ur kittens survive?
i’m currently taking care of a four day old kitten who’s momma got hit by a car. i got him when he was just a day old. his foot is terribly injured but he has the spirit of a lion! he’s so feisty and he’s doing very well! this video helped me out so much, and i appreciate what you do!
Thank you so much Hannah, just was able to send this video and your channel info to someone who found kittens abandoned around 2 wks. old - so appreciate your help in giving these kittens a voice and a helper
Your experience is unmatched. I watched this for real maybe 3x in a row. So hard to see kittens pulled away from their moms but that’s when you come in and fill the void. So selfless and expert advice. Loved the end two
I was bought a kitten last night by my family for my birthday. They were told he was 8 weeks but hes more like 5 weeks. I'm having to hand feed & stimulate him so your video was a huge help 😊 thank you x
Had a stray mama have 3 babies at my fire station about 2 weeks ago. I was planning to trap her because the kittens were obviously sick but they disappeared. Found one kitty today while mowing the lawn and left it alone, mama never came back. This video is saving my life, thank you
You’re awesome. Thank you for making this. My newest addition to the family is a little young and this is my first time caring for a kitten so young so this was super helpful. Thank you
One of the most gratifying experiences of my life was helping raise the kittens of the cat next door, who chose to give birth under my mother's bed. She was not being fed next door, so she wisely adopted us to care for her and the kittens. Seeing you feed and clean these darlings brought back many memories. You have a good heart and a wise mind.
You are one special lady. You have such a vast wealth of knowledge regarding the care and treatment of kittens and that you’re willing to share that with the rest of us is really awesome and we are very grateful that you do that.
Thank you for creating this video! I’m really not a “cat person” but a neighborhood cat gave birth and immediately abandoned her kittens in our yard. So, now I’m a cat mom and found this information most helpful!
This video was SO helpful! For the most part, I was doing everything right, but I did not know it was wrong to feed kitty belly up! I'm so glad I watched this video!
Bruh when i was feeding my kitten with a syringe and neighbor’s kids were yelling “Dont do it please!” At me (I was at my living room next to my porch when the kids were able to see me there)
I watched these videos ages ago, just because I found them interesting. It turned out to be really useful after my sister found an orphaned kitten and called me, unsure what to do. It became clear pretty fast that no mama cat was coming and that there weren't really any neonatal care options in our area, but I was able to take care of her myself thanks to these informative videos. Little Sailor V owes you her life! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
