This video is a demonstration on how I package my stained glass pieces for shipping and since I've had such great success I thought I would share with everyone. This is not a guarantee as each piece and package is handled differently this is just what I have found works best. Please like & subscribe!

Thank you for the demonstration! I really appreciate that you took the time to do that. I am looking at possibly shipping out my first piece (10x10 inches) and am looking for safe and cost-effective ways to do that. Up to this point I have been able to just hand-off the finished pieces. So this part is new to me. I also think your mermaid tail is beautiful. Have a great day!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting! The best shipping carrier I have found that works best for me is USPS not only do my packages arrive safely but they have the best price. Good luck with shipping your art! I know how exciting and nervous that first shipment is! I hope my video helped and your piece makes it safely!

Thank you for sharing. I too struggle with the time it takes to pack flat glass objects (fused in my case, not leaded, but the same problem essentially). However, I suggest the extensive use of bubble wrap and expanded polystyrene foam is woeful and unsustainable (by which I mean environmentally unforgiveable). Not to mention the cling film, which is unnecessary. Plus of course re-using corrugated is cheaper than buying polluting foam! Far better to re-purpose corrugated cardboard, from old shipments of glass or from any other source. The corrugated can be shredded, cut into strips, balled up, it all depends on what you have and what you need - but it is less wasteful. Additionally, I suggest that for the first step (from 2min00secs onwards), protecting the piece with (rigid) corrugated card is better than using expanded polystyrene foam as the board protects against bending (esp. if you arrange it so that different layers go in different directions); the foam gives almost no protection against bending. Still, good luck.
