Thank you for the guidance on this matter I just had to throw away $370.00 worth of food I was really upset and now it kills me that a $35.00 part caused all this mess
Hi, I need to know how to test it, I have one, I tested with a ohms scale in continuity and it has continuity, how can I know when this divece stopped working!!! Thanks
I would like you explain how this defrost thermostat works with a multimeter. What temperature cut off and cut On ,in other words how does it work? Thanks a lot.
If this part is faulty would it cause my refrigerator to freeze even with temp set at 44 deg? I have model 261 French door with ice maker in the bottom. Thanks in advance!
I have the same problem, I was told its the mother board failing to communicate with the thermostat. I'm looking for a repair contractor to give me an estimate.
From what I understand, when testing a bimetal thermostat, room temp. should have no continuity and when it gets cold enough you have continuity. Mine has continuity at room temp. so I assumed it was bad. So I bought a new one. Tested it and it has continuity at room temp. so I put them both in the freezer for an hour or so, same reading. I returned it and got another one. Tested it and it has continuity... Another bad one?? or am I missing something??
In the area that Your placing this sensor.. mine freezes up .. not the freezer..everyone is saying it's a bad design and the heating coil to help defrost it should have been longer. do they make a longer replacement one .so I can go up higher with it up next to the copper tubing so it will keep it from freezing up ..or is there some other fix that you know of thank you so much .. Also I heard that you can force defrost the refrigerator not the freezer if so do you know how to do that my model # is Samsung RF18HFENBSP/AA.. thanks
All these crazy videos just show people replacing the part, but what we need is to see them First measure and explain what a correct part measurement should be and then show the faulty part measurement in ohms or continuity.
