what kind of screw fits this? the whole latch and screws were missing. I ordered the latch but can't find the screws to order.

The door latch on ours is loose even when the screws are tightened all the way there is still space between the screw head and the hole the plastic screw hole. It's as if the metal is too thin to be thigh when the screws are all the way in. You can take it and move it around -is this normal?

So I am concerned about that. From one source I heard that it is a Samsung solution to compensate the relative movements of door and bodyworks e.g. during load balancing at centrifuging. However the problem appears when opening door frequently. The latch might be hitting the screws and eventually fatigue the screwing and knock the screws out. Saw a washer dryer combo ww80tA026at where it was no longer as loose as in earlier models

I just bought my front too and it came with that problem too. I took a visit to HD and all washer comes with this problem waiting in Samsung for an answer

The hole the screw uses also broke off with the door latch. What are my options?

My door won’t latch closed and replacing the latch piece as you demonstrated won’t fix it. Mine looks exactly the same as a new one, the problem is the part that receives this “latch” doesn’t seem to be functioning.

There may be a little back and forth play, not much though.

@@appliancepartspros My Samsung front loader (exact same latch as shown in video) has a LOT of play in it. I snugged it up as much as possible. Could a latch with too much play cause the lock to sense the door may be open/ajar and pause the running cycle? My machine pauses mid-cycle sometimes, but I can restart it if I open the door, close it, and hit "START".

Way too easy of a fix... Cant do that to LG the engineers there out smarted us again... Have to replace the entire door @ a price of 275.00 DOLLARS so sad of them to pull the wool over our eyes again.... 🗑
