Dude, seriously, what do you need the latest Photoshop for? I still use Photoshop CS6 and I will continue to use it. Buying the latest Photoshop version doesn't make you a better artist or designer.
I think it's cheaper to sign up to the Photography Bundle (Photoshop & Lightroom) which is around 11$ and then add Illustrator at around 20$. Agreed though, a graphic designer bundle consisting of Illustrator and PS would be the bomb!
Brother thank you, i suffer from Creative Cloud addiction , the thing is that many of us are masters at these softwares but are not yet in the place to profit from the craft but we still need it to get there, is like you have to buy a guitar every month to be able to play it , no matter if you are Joe or Van Halen.
@@abdulrahmanmohamed8825 Thanks!! When I go to the onthehub link, I actually pay less than when I go through Adone directly because of the exchange rate ;) It's only £2 but hey, every saving is worth it!
I hope this helps you save a few bucks on your subscription! 💰 A moment of silence for the 100 people who think they're clever by commenting "Just don't buy it!" 😂 UPDATE: 07/22/2021: My previous deal was about to end, so I've done it all over again. They just have a slightly different way of navigating the cancellation pages now, but I still said "It's too expensive", I ignored the popup suggesting I change plans, then hit "Continue" on the page showing me all the "features you'll lose". Finally I had the same offers as I mention in this video. This time around I've used the 60-days free, once that's up I'll select the discounted 1-year plan again, which I hope (but assume) will still be available after redeeming 60 days free. UPDATE 07/24/2020: My previous deal ended, I went to cancel again today, I was then offered a refund for 40% off my last purchase, and now have 40% off for the next 12 months as well. It seems the deals vary over time, but I just repeat the same process and keep getting offers! UPDATE 03/14/2020: For those who are having their work impacted by COVID-19, you can reach out to support and ask them to credit your account until work picks up again. It's been reported that they've been giving 90-days free. UPDATE 11/29/2019: I just tried cancelling my account again and they offered another 60 days free. This trick is repeatable, apparently!
I have used both the deals the 60 and 90 days after I got the redemption code of one month that put me up on annual commitment paid monthly. So, 6 months of free software. I am all in for adobe. Thanks for sharing helped a ton. 5 months of subscription because of the video. Yaay! Thanks again. :)
Top bundles adobe should make: A video bundle containing premiere pro, after affects and prelude An animation bundle containing Animate and Character Animator A drawing/ illustrator bundle containing Illustrator and photoshop A publishing bundle containing indesign and incopy A Web design bundle containing dreamweaver and XD A "extras" bundle containing media encoder, bridge and acrobat A junior designer bundle for kids including modified versions Photoshop, lightroom after affects, premiere pro, illustrator, indesign, animate and dreamweaver. They can be priced between 10-40 dollars depending on the bundle. Honestly they will probably not do this but its fun to dream lol.
Also, I must say your channel is absolutely underrated and deserves more interest and subs. I like your videos being made to be concise and succinct with clear messaging. I can't stand those who intentionally make their video over 30 mins while they could have summarized it in a 2-min speech. Well done!
Wow, thanks! I appreciate the kind words Bryan. If you feel so inclined I'd greatly appreciate you sharing my content, liking my videos etc. to help us reach that goal together. No pressure either way. Thanks for taking the time to comment! Let me know if there's any topics you'd like me to cover.
@The last Bean bender lol yes I did this for a while but kept running into issues, also you get all the iPhone apps for free (which are 6.99/mo each) so it was worth it
Hey Connor , Thank you for this amazing video ,not sure if this works today as well, hope it works. One question I had was if i buy creative cloud all apps and create some after effects without plugins and other paid licenses and save it to local. Later, after 1 year can I end this subscription and use these after effects file downloaded locally by subscribing only to premeiere pro ? Also can i use these locally exported or saved files in a completely new adobe creative cloud apps account (as new accounts have 40 percent off )? Thank you for all the amazing work , hope you can help with the above question.
It depends what you mean by "save it to local." If you simply mean exporting your After Effects project as a video file, then yes it will work just fine. But if you wanted to go back and change or edit something you made in After Effects without having an active subscription that includes After Effects, you're out of luck. Premiere Pro cannot open After Effects projects. Yes, your files will open in other accounts, otherwise you wouldn't be able to send your project files to a collaborator, so there won't be any issues there. A word of caution though, "new account" might mean just that, but some companies use your payment method as the indicator of whether or not it's truly a new user, so that people don't abuse the system. I have no idea if Adobe does this, but if you create a new account to save 40%, but link it to the same credit card as your old account, the system might deny you the 40% discount. It's unlikely, but just something to be prepared for.
I just did that today. Black Friday's offer came and I talked with the support to cancel my plan or accept a better offer. I got a 55% discount each month. Now it is a little fairer.
Thank you so much for this video. I just tried it and asked to use the first 60 days free. It is not actually free, they still do charge you for 2.77 or something like that but it is much better than the initial price.
Also, I must say your channel is absolutely underrated and deserves more interest and subs. I like your videos being made to be concise and succinct. I can't stand those who intentionally make their video over 30 mins while they could have summarized it in a 2-min speech. Well done!
Nice and clear. The free months and reduced cost for a while worked for me. In the end though, I think we will be switching to Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer(Illustrator) HitFilm for Premier, and Davinci Resolve for After Effects.
I wish they had a plan where you can get only get 2 apps or 3 apps of your choice for less... :( Adobe's become very expensive since they force you to get apps you may not need in the bundle offering everything... :-( I had to switch to Corel's PaintShop Pro for pic editing and Wondershare's PDFElement Pro... :(
A word FOR Adobe here. I dont like the subscription licensing either, but this year I had a support ticket, and Adobe stayed on it until it was fixed, and the root problem wasn't even Adobe software. If I can squeeze a couple free months, great, but its part of the cost of biz. If I ever need multiple licenses, then yes, I would look at options.
Make sure to verify your education information in your creative cloud account. The same thing happened to me, but was verified instantly and got payments back down to $20. It's at the bottom of the profile page. I hope you see this!
Press the cancel button before the end of the contract and you will get offers. I got a renewal of another year with 20% discount on the student price.
I paid for Adobe for two years and I got sick of paying a high monthly cost. They need to reduce the price and make it more affordable. Can you imagine every product you purchased that provided updates to you, you had to pay a monthly fee for it? If you purchase a product you should be able to own it and receive the updates for free, for life. Either that or make it more affordable, let's be honest here, what does it cost Adobe by you downloading their product and installing it? I look at it the same way as cable companies and look at what happened to them. In the end, greed doesn't pay.
I sort of understand it. Frankly, why should we get free updates for life? I think having to pay to upgrade makes sense, or else the company has no incentive to update and add to their products because they'd just be losing money. They spend tons of time and cash improving the product but their income would decrease over time... but there's a different between having the OPTION to pay for an upgraded version of what you already have, and paying for updates even if you don't want them to begin with.
@@ConnorGilks Paying for updates shouldn't cost a user $600 per year. I understand where the business cost is $1200 for any business subscriptions that use adobe, but event there that's a pretty ridiculous price to pay for updates. At which point are you really getting free updates for life or are they charging up the ass for their updates? I have no problems paying for software when it's a reasonable price, but when that price comes with no REALLY added value, I don't think it's worth it.
You didn't mention the free deals for Adobe Stock contributors. Upload 300 in the year photos and you get a year free of the photo package I think. 300 videos and you get the full suite for a year. I am uploading!
@@ConnorGilks I already have about 500 photos on ShutterStock so I'm just loading them there too. It took me about 7 months of part time shooting to come up with that many shots. Now working on Vids. Adobe says you also have to maintain a 50% accept/reject rate or better.
@@beaugy99 Thank you for this tip! Do you mind sharing what subjects you are photographing? Since it took you 7 months it sounds like you thought about what you are doing, instead of just random photo uploads. Thank you!
My friend, I don’t even want to go into the financial part of it but Adobe ceos are make a very nice chunk of change off everyone’s back. On a different note, I’m a designer that has used photoshop and illustrator for years. Now I’m tired of being milked like a cow. So, what to do? In my case, in order to replace photoshop and illustrator I would need : in Canadian dollars (affinity photo, designer and publisher: 150$ total with free updates )+(Corel paint shop pro :100$+ GRFX studio: 540$, draw 630$and painter 500$)+ ( Gimp + add on g mic filters :Free)+ (Inkscape: free) + (krita: free) , bringing us to a total of 1920$ Canadian, vs the 56$/month (Canadian) or 672$ per year. I much prefer owning my soft ware and upgrading when I see fit rather than this vampiric adobe model, that forces updates down your throat, and by consequence, forcing you to ever upgrade on the actual computer that is running it. In conclusion either adobe brings back the cs model,( possibly charging us for certain updates like new tools and features that we can choose to either purchase or not) or simply boycott them completely. THERE IS LIFE AFTER ADOBE!!!
Hey Connor, my subscription from school is about to expire and I will have to pay it myself. Now 600 bucks is a lot of money for me. Currently there is a sale of 40%! But I still have around 2 months left for my current subscription. Do you recommend me to buy the one now? Or do you think once my subscription stops and I contact the support they will probably give me 40% off anyway?
I'm assuming you mean $600 a year? I would simply sign up when they have a sale. When the price goes up just use the tips in this video to bring it back down.
They should make an essentials bundle featuring Photoshop, animate, Premiere pro, media encoder, character animator, illustrator, after effects and audition basically the creative cloud version of production premium
I bought a 2TB Seagate hard drive and it came with 3 months of free Photography bundle. I received an email that my "subscription" was about to expire and I remember this video. I canceled it with the same "too expensive" reason and indeed, I was offered 60 days free. Never had a subscription before. All in all, I got 5 months free so far.
While I was a student I paid 19.99 US per month. When I graduated they bumped me up to 59.99 US per month. I reached out via their chat online and asked for a graduate/alumni rate. They dropped my monthly to 29.99 US and refunded the month I paid 59.99. Lol 29.99 is still high but it’s a little better than almost $60 US!
i was going to buy photoshop then saw there was a bundle called photography which had lightroom and photoshop and was significally cheaper is there a catch?
Nope! They intentionally make the bundles cheaper, because that makes you more dependent on their software, which means you're more likely to stick around and keep giving them your money. There's no catch, it's just strategic pricing.
Hi man, i just wnana ask, is it any difference with Photoshop in Photography plan and PS in Single Plan itself? Because in Photography plan just take not to much money in 1year subcription around than in single app. And also if i take Annual plan, prepaid when i use until 12 month, am i still have to pay them again? And can't cancel it for free (no penalty).. that's it, thanks 😄
I'm not sure how their cancellation policy works, you'd have to ask them. As far as Photoshop goes: no, it's the same version of Photoshop whether you get it by itself or in the Ps/Lr plan.
THANK YOU! I was skeptical about buying creative cloud since the price is four times multiplied for my country's currency, but knowing those hacks I might give it a try :)
Adobe and other companies usually determine if you are a Student by your email account that likely has an 'edu' in the section following the '@' so when you lose the stuent email - you usually lose these benefits
Within 5 years, my fee went up by $26 per month. That's now $76 per month! After 20 years, I've decided to jump ship completely. I have better things to do than scrounge around for potential discounts.
Hi Connor, thank you for the information. As a student I'm paying less but I'm frightened from the day I'll have to pay the full price... but you gave me some hope :)
Hi Connor! Thanks for the information. I just received 2 months free in my running plan and got the discounted rate and on top of that Prorated Refund for the existing Plan!!!!!!
As of a couple days ago Corel painter and pinnacle and a multi-source video capture program to forget the name was all available in humble bundle for $30 as a total package with Pinnacle being available for $1 at the lowest tier of the package so I highly suggest anyone looking to save the truck load get into that and it's worth noting that the new features and Corel painter versus the version that they just bundled on humble is only four features and yes they're awesome features but I don't mind not paying $400 for four features I hope that helps some of you.
Hi iam looking for the softwares like photoshop, lightroom, indesign, illustrator only but there is no pricing plan for this alone ,they have pricing plan for bundle of softwares and most of them I wont use what should I do ? What do you think about affinity software which work same as Adobe photoshop plus illustrator? Let me know about this .
Whats the difference between the 9.99 monthly subscription and buying the actual software right now they have a bundle of photoshop And Premier elements 2021 for 149.99?
Great vid. I decided to cancel and got to the same three options you show. At that screen, I was tempted by the 60 days free, but I pressed on and said I still wanted to cancel. Then they offered me 12 months (paid up front) for $326 instead of $600. I couldn't resist that offer.
Thanks for this video. I had the all-inclusive plan for a while. I really didn't need all those apps. I switched to a Photography plan for 9.99/month instead of the 52.99 I was paying.
So happy that I watched your video :D last year I paid 30 dollar for adobe cloud business licence and now they want to raise up the price to 50 dollars. So I followed up your tips and then they came with the same deal so now I pay for the next year again 30 dollars :) Thank you so much for your tips!
if i Will buy and clean that mean i Will still have this app and i Just dont have udates and i dont need to pay or i Will lose that app and if i want to use it i must pay every time?
Wait so I just want After Effects (as you can tell by my name tehe) if I sign in with my school email will that give me a discount or do I need to do something else IF U SEE THIS PLEASE TELL ME CAUSE I REALLY NEED TO KNOW
Yeah just sign up for the educational discount and they'll walk you through the process. I don't know if a school email is enough, you may need to supply school photo ID as well, I don't remember.
Connor Gilkinson oh sorry i forgot to add I knew that there is a plan for students and teachers for all the apps which is $23 per month BUT it’s only for the first year and then it goes to like $40 after that, so if I just do the normal plan for after effects and sign in with a school email or some other kind of evidence idk but if yo do that can you still get a discount or do you have to do it the proper educational discount way?
Thanks for the info. I couldn't cancel it on line so I had to call. They said they would cancel it then I said no help me be able to on line they got off phone and than come back and said I would pay 29.99 with 3 months free. They must be doing this because people are leaving because their pricing is way to high for something you are renting and not getting to purchase it also all the alternatives there are.
No problem, Mary! My guess is either they aren't doing well (very possible) or they simply make enough profit that they can afford to cut deals to retain customers for longer (definitely true). Either way, it's good to know we can reap the benefits!
This was helpful man, thanks! Been paying faithfully since 2013 as a student. Price raised on me too. Need a bit of breathing room from paying for it at this time.
This video saved me so much money. Especially timely during the pandemic. I can’t thank you enough. Are you planning an update video to see if this can be repeated?
This is what Serif is going to do with their products when they reach Version 2 they said it long time ago. Some people that left the Adobe ship because of the monthly practice and went to Serif products will be hit by business reality. Subscriptions are not that bad to be honest for people that live off of using these apps, but I think Adobe should charge way less because that would bring a lot of costumers back but we all know Adobe target audience aren't people that don't make a living with their products.
Interesting! The subscription service isn't inherently bad, but I would argue Adobe's use of it is. With Adobe, they aren't releasing any new products. So, at a certain point, for the amount you spend on your subscription you could've bought all their products outright... and yet you still have to pay to have access to them. To contrast that, Slate Digital sells audio plugins. At the rate they release new plugins the subscription value is still fair, because they ensure the value of that subscription is still a better deal than buying everything outright, even if you've been a subscriber for years. Why can't I have the ability to buy my Adobe apps after a certain amount spent? Why do I need to pay to have access to apps that I've effectively already paid for over the course of time? Why can't there be a separate plan for those who don't want/need updates? Why isn't there an a la carte option for app bundles? There's just so many ways the subscription plan could be improved for the customer, but they don't want to do that because, frankly, money. Not greed necessarily, but they see the writing on the wall. They have more competition than ever, so this is a way to manipulate customers into staying for longer and paying more, thus helping sustain the business.
I tried the cancelation method for the discount at 6 months into my cloud subscription, and it did not work. Not sure how long you have to be a subscriber for this to work
Can you elaborate a bit more? What do you mean by it didn't work? The process has changed a slightly as of last year as I noted in my pinned comment, but it still works. There definitely could be a initial qualification window of 12 months or something.
@@ConnorGilks there wasn’t a discount offer, just the option to chose a different package or cancel. I was just giving some detail about my own experience 6 months in, because it said in the video that there might be a set amount of time that you need to have the subscription for this to work, or maybe people could do it right away. So I shared how long I had the subscription and that it didn’t work that soon for me, I figured it would be helpful for finding out the minimum amount of time that it takes to work.
I prefer luminar over lightroom and I am waiting for more alternative to lightroom. In fact, there are not much changes of lightroom. I rather trying other software but not subscribing lightroom
If I get the PHOTOGRAPHY PLAN (Photoshop +Lightroom) 9.99USD/MONTH, am I getting the same Photoshop software? Why it is cheaper than subscribing to a single photoshop?
It's the same version of Photoshop, it's cheaper because if you get more products you're more likely to stay in their ecosystem for longer. They're offering you a deal to hook you in, in hopes you'll stay with them for longer and generate more money over time.
