How To Save Multiversus. 

It’s definitely nice seeing this type of content being constructive criticism instead of just straight up bashing. I don’t even play MultiVersus but I love hearing your thoughts on it!

I really want this game to work, so much effort put into creative moves, characters that actually have personality and insane voice acting. We can see devs actually love the game, it's so frustrating to see it's not that popular

I think multiverse needs story mode that can unlock rewards such as skins, badges, banners, and glems. With co ops with story as well.

3:54 I would love to see that like when you unlock a character you get a bunch of quests you have to do as this specific characters. Just like in pvz heroes

Every game suffers the same thing, but I still have hope in this game

I think the buffs and nerfs cater too much to pro players. They don't remove how hard some of the annoying knock backs are. GOOD players may not know but many characters like shaggy and superman are literally annoying to new players. My irl friends quit because of cheesy characters. You may say get good but you need to remember that casuals are the backbone of a game

I enjoyed the video and yes I agree on the same 5 main problems, I've enjoyed the content you've made along with the tip and trick for each character on this game even though I've only played 2 games I will always love MultiVersus keep up the good work

I think the balancing is only a real issue in 1v1 which they are adamantly ignoring .

I know my personal request will not be for everyone but, having an option in local multiplayer to have a 3 player FFA. Right now you have to have 4 players to play FFA no matter what. So that’s one. Another one I wanted to request is having the option to connect another controller to the same console/pc and being able to play 2v2s.I don’t even care if we don’t get any exp or rewards I just want the option available. Honestly gets boring having to 1v1 my siblings because we can’t do anything else outside of that. We just have to switch to another game that all of us can play on. But I really love this game!

Something else that could help would be more hype characters. I remember when every single game I was in had an Iron Giant. People were so psyched for that character, myself included. No hate to Velma, Stripe and Gizmo but they’re sort of obscure to me and I wonder if they’re the characters people actually wanted in the game. I’d love to see Tweedy Bird, Darkseid, Scooby, the Joker, the Flash, Daenerys Targaryen (with her dragons), Grim (from Billy and Mandy), Number 1 (from the Kids Next Door), and Dexter(from Dexter’s Laboratory). I know this isn’t a quality of life game mechanic but I do think this will bring back more casual players who just want to play their favorite TV show and movie characters.

I couldn’t agree more but I also think dodging is a problem too the bar doesn’t really have a use but I still want dodge canceling for like true combos to exist but you can’t punish someone if they spam dodge

Multiversus has too much potential, it just has to do things right and improve aspects such as the battle pass or the servers. Even so, I quite enjoy this title.

I kinda find the matchmaking a little unfair at times, like I got matched against a level 37 Batman and 33 Morty in 2v2s as a level 10 tax and my partner was a level 8 Batman

i 100% agree with this video, im a marvin main because he is very silly and goofy, but im gonna be fr he sucks. when theres characters who can just run around and dodge everything i throw at them, or just run over to me and stop me from attacking, my biggest problem is with harley because of how easy it is for her to spam combos without trying, or her neutral air and how it is impossible to dodge, i main bugs on the side and hes STILL overpowered multiple months later, and the lag sucks. but i have hope that the devs will fix it

I definitely heavily agree that some characters remove counterplay and like the rick example was perfect because i typically pull out my wonder women on any rick and win almost every time.

I would love to see you do a tier list of how characters deal with certain things like projectiles and armor. Cause what I find stupid is the inconsistent use of options. Like I can't beat a armor spamming Superman unless I'm spamming WW neutral air. Also I played a taz as Marvin and was in complete shock every time I spawned the ship, he just ate it.. or Finn's easily spammable ground side special neutralizing any projectile but WW has a animation before the shield comes out and then leaves her immobile for an hour.

I think your 2nd point is by far the most important one and I think it’s worth bringing into attention.

Something that makes me mad as a LeBrom main is how LeBrom got nerfed hard and he’s not that easy to play he takes skill, when someone like Batman and shaggy who aren’t that hard have been good since release and barely get touched (mainly Batman I know they’ve touched shaggy a lot)

100% agree tht servrs are a huge problem. I disconnect from games now and then which is slightly annoying but nothing crazy, but when I can't even play a match due to a 1 bar match, that sucks.

They ever going to fix the coop vs ai on the Treehouse map? Or finally release the Space Jam map?

I agree with you 100% I was playing my main Rick and whenever I tried to use meeseeks it just didn't work and what pisses me off more is that he can destroy ur meeseeks with his stupid grapple hook at any time and my meeseeks are cool down too it's just rush down characters need to be worked on a lil bit so charactera like Rick just completely lose their abilities I was also playing against a taz with marvin and everytime I tried to use my space ship he just ate the space ship before the rocket came out sorry for the long comment 😅

I agree with alot of things but I think more flex items for high level players will be really good for this game. Imagine if they slowly added in diamond skins for the whole cast and you get it on every charecter only while ur in diamond. Also imagine if they added gold coin wagers I think that would he amazing for players but even more so for content creators.

One of the things that has been killing my matches lately has been terrible matchmaking. Not only are the servers often unplayable, but yesterday I, ranked 4 million in 1V1s, faced a level 35 Harley that was ranked 1300. How does this happen??? There must be some way to fix that, right?

How do you find the win rates of characters?

To his point 2: characters, they could have missions that give ring outs or emotes for the lead up to the character releases

So here’s what I think Multiversus can do to save the game. 1) Add more maps(Especially competitive maps) 2) Add characters that people actually want in the game, IDC if that means we have to wait longer but it will be worth it 3) Add more free in game rewards like skins were we can grind for as mentioned in the video 4) Add a better battle pass( like how fornite has it where you get free v-bucks in the premium tiers) 5) Everything else mentioned in this video too will help the game

I’m having an issue where my enemy is at like 200 percent I hit them with a kill move, they gain percent from the hit and they start to fly off with knock back animation but instantly glitch back to on stage. Like I can’t kill them.

Thank you so much Slush, I fully support and agree with literally everything you said. Except that Harley is OP😅. She's super hard to secure kills with in high level play as she doesn't have that one cheese move to secure kills like the rest of the meta especially now since her infinite is gone. I honestly think she's just a good character overall. Yes as you can tell I'm a Harley main 😂 but I really tried to look at her through an analytic lens.

The last thing you talked about , Taz is a character who other characters take his moves , ima level 21 Taz so far and bro it be hard ash sometimes to get your moves off against certain characters 🤦🏾‍♂️💯 still love Jake though😂🐐

So i want to add more to these points and my personal takes 1.Servers Weirdly enough i rarely get 2 bar games,most are 3 bars but oh boy when those 2 bars appear i can feel it 2.Characters While i understand the picks they had for Season 1 and appreciate some of them being "obscure" ,Season 2 needs more mainstream characters, everyone is waiting for Daffy, Ben 10 or Joker and yet we get characters that most of the playerbase wasn't even alive when they first appeared I'm not against legacy characters being in the game but i feel like they are being added at the wrong time, i think characters like Samurai Jack or The Flash are going to be better for the game than the Wicked Witch or Beetlejuice at the moment and can help bring in players 3.Content Just some ideas Golden skin variations after getting 1000 wins (like the Golden Reindog) Maybe the red or blue version of characters after 3000 ko's Something like Test your Luck from Mortal Kombat Endless arcade mode with a final score Boss raids (like the Big Reindog) Basketball (you already have the Space Jam map) 4.Balancing Just wanna talk about the "make everyone op" idea,while the thought of "if everyone's super,no one will be" is not bad on paper ,you just get a game filled with broken mechanics and after 5 matches it would become pretty frustrating They don't pick up the pace they are going to be left in the dust by other titles in 2023 (aka SF6,Tekken 8 and the next NRS game probably MK12)

I main IG and T&J. Before you go and say “of course your not gonna say your main is OP” I can acknowledge IG’s strengths in 2v2s can make him oppressive. But if the opponent is playing any rush down heavy character (Harley….) I might as well focus on their teammate and pray they doesn’t rush me all game because it’s impossible for me to out maneuver, let alone land any of my slower than slow moves before she combos me into the next match. Or hope that both players on the enemy team don’t make the very easy decision to juggle me for as long as humanly possible. I feel like he is able to be countered once you understand his inability to avoid being hit like other characters. And yes, I know about the grab combo, and purposely don’t use it because I feel like it shouldn’t be in the game. That doesn’t stop any Superman mains from grabbing my teammate at 0% from just the right spot and killing them. The games balance is strange indeed, but if people keep saying “IG is so broken” like some of these characters who are actually broken (looking at you Harley) they are just gonna nerf him again and again until he’s unplayable. Didn’t mean to rant on here like this, I just really respect your opinion on everything Multiversus and watch basically every video you drop as soon as I see the notification. It just kinda blindsided me that you included IG up there with characters like Harley and Batman in terms of being OP.

what killed my motivation to play this game is the lack of good battlepass rewards. the best pass was the beta pass we got a legendary skin and a different voiceline variant. we havent got the same value since. especially with the most recent battlepass where its more prevalent than ever. no one wants to grind for a legendary profile picture or a mediocre rare and epic skin. no one is hype over the battlepass rewards. i know since its a fighting game that its harder to give the players rewards, but theres already stuff in the game that would feel more rewarding than a character exclusive badge or toast. give us announcer packages or even customizable banners. implement a season exclusive shop through season exclusive currency you earn throughout the battlepass or at the least give us some gleamium to spend or save. and with ranked still in development i just dont feel the need to play multiversus until either ranked is fully formatted out or a new good battlepass is out.

That image is not a desink issue. That is just Arya. Go into training and test her charged forward air. It reaches behind her just as must as it does in front of her.

Btw check out your mailbox, you should be getting a survey from the MultiVersus dev team asking for feedback (mostly for Ranked and e-sports but you can also give other feedback), maybe drop some of your thoughts there too

As a WW main with over 700 wins i 1000% agree with how insanely frustrating it is to fight the op characters while being the most "honest" character in the game. I finally gave up on WW and am now maining batman lmao. She's still my favorite but playing her 24/7 against these other characters will absolutely give you brain cancer lmao

The fact that characters like reindog and now Marvin keep becoming literally unplayable is the thing that made me nearly stop playing. [Edit] to the people saying reindog is high tier I’m very aware of that I maimed him and at one point was the number one reindog player. I said he was unplayable because if you were to try and pick him it would either crash your game or quit out the match 🤷‍♂️[EDIT AGAIN] I am referring to 1s when saying they’re unplayable and also talking about just not being able to pick said characters either A with being in queue for an hour or B your game crashing

As someone who used to main gizmo, they gutted him. I agree with backpack nerf and car nerf but popcorn nerf was questionable. Now to use bow effectively, you have to have 2 abilities off cooldown. Just a bit overkill

How would you feel about having different charecter stats for 2v2 vs 1v1? I feel like in 2v2 most charecters are very viable, but I definitely see how in 1v1 charecters like batman or harley would be extremely oppressive

Top 100 reindog. Your example of reindog vs taz is very incorrect. Sure, you have to watch out for his bite, but projectiles are incredible against taz's best options (dogpile and tornado). Its more like rock paper scissors, where i either predict bite and go for an up tilt/jab, or i can predict another move with a projectile.

I think the balance in the game is weird because the keep Harley and buff her weaknesses as like wight speed the assassin debuff she ain’t crazy fast but can still move Wonder Woman is a tank but like incredible fast as a Rick main fighting half the roster is crazy due to them being rush down fighters love the game truly but the hit boxes and even the blast area is just hard to enjoy

i think besides the servers, matchmaking and MMR played an important role in the Multiversus decline, take an example: i'm 1400-1550 MMR with various characters and i have faced almost every 1000 - 100 global rank people, the thing is, the majority of them are farming MMR with one of them with an alter account and one character with barely 800 MMR, so... they always win ton of MMR but lose so little, that's not the problem per se, the problem is they match with new players and with really low players so frequently, the low players are overwhelmed and disappointed and most probably angry. for instance, i'm being matched with a lot 10 millions in my team because i'm ~ 1450 MMR so i "should" carry them but it's impossible if the enemy team is a farming top 100 player, the worst is that you lose 40 MMR per set and you need to win 10 really sweaty matches without losing one to win 40 MMR back just to lose it again in 2 matches because your teammate afk. the final result was that every 1100 - 1300 MMR player have left the game already, nowadays you only see 600 - 800 MMR players and 1700 - 2000 MMR players, nothing in between, because of that, solo queue is trash and you will never achieve nothing if you have no teammate like almost the entire playerbase

I think you see the game as a 1v1 too much sometimes. Don't get me wrong, it should be balanced for 1v1, but i just feel that most characters now (after the changes) have been awesome in 2v2. How to walk the line for a support character being good in 1v1, for example?

As a garnet main, i can attest to the last one. She jsut cannot compete, even when you’ve mastered her. It’s so difficult trying to beat a a lot of the characters. Fin can just juggle your around, harley can be a campy bitch, and GODDAMN BATMAN CAN JUST SPAM BATERRANG AND HIS STUPID UP SPECIALS. If you buffed gaenet to be a S teir character, nobody would enjoy it. Nerf all the S teir characters, and everyone would enjoy it. They should be more agressive for changing characters. Make new metas y’know. Make it fresh. But nope, for 2 months, we have to deal with the warcrimes commited by these characters on a daily.

I think the game needs more content, because currently all you can do is play a few games, the arcade mode is a disgrace with no reward and i think it deserves a rework. I also miss more maps, I'm tired of the Scooby doo mansion, tree fort and batcave

Give one week at the beggining of a season where you can do a set of challenges to earn the battlepass for free. Or a week at the end of the battlepass instead of the beggining of a new one.

im top 28 now in 2s and 56 in 1s with Gizmo and it’s almost impossible to play against a high rank Finn, Batman or Stripe just bc of their speed.. other than that I don’t think Gizmo’s that bad tbh Also just to complain some more why the f does WW have a move that combos into itself and leads up to a pretty easy spike??

It’s crazy how no one talks about the monetization in this game it’s literally the worse I’ve seen almost every skin is $10 at least and you can barely buy anything with gold and what you can buy is ridiculous a Fred profile icon is 50k gold? Lmaoo I think they should have an option where you can buy skins with gold obviously it’ll be a lot more than purchasing the skin with gleamium but at least it’ll be worth the grind and something to actually grind for also give us gleamium in the premium battle pass

I'm not sure if these would count as a nerf to everyone but the game is in a desperate need for a whiff recovery overhaul cause too many characters have like no end lag on their moves Finn's should bash is a perfect example of what whiff recovery should look and feel cause if you miss it you are completely defenseless for like a whole second and can be easily punished

Dude, remember when I was harping on you for putting Reindog at the bottom of your 1v1 tier list? He's been nerfed at least once or twice since then. He feels almost as bad to play as Gizmo and Marvin at this point. (Still glad I'm not playing Gizmo though.) If that's not another good example of the balance issues you're talking about, then I don't know what is. :/

You have some sound arguments, I think balancing should be a combination of win rate, play time, and skill ceiling, this can likely determine character's strengths and weaknesses, so you can add/remove/tinker with cooldowns or nerf/buff attacks/movement/etc Also the leveling system is way too grindy, you're playing characters with little to no results or trying to play the battle pass with no results and it's annoying, not fun, I understand you can't just blow through the pass or levels in a few days but it shouldn't take forever cause of obnoxious amounts of xp needed Just like you I want the game to thrive, but monetarily, systematically, and through entertainment, they need to really put players first. I know it ain't easy, but they do need to get a grip, I can handle a few late character additions to fix the game.

I left this game a month or two ago and I came back cause I saw Marvin was released and I made a goal to main all looney tunes characters and I’ve already mastered bugs and Taz but Marvin is terrible. I can get wins with him and I’d like to say I’m good with him but he is just not a good character overall.

I think this game focuses way too much on 2s, as there is a large following that only plays ones. Balancing becomes difficult because of this

I think every character should have advantages and disadvantages. Every character is usable in the game. Make the game fun, wachy. I'm kinda tired of every game being a sweat fest... HAVE COMPETITIVE AND CASUAL. But always focus on CASUAL First for the most players. It's not hard.
