Hello, This is Lin's Korean Class.
I'm Lin from South Korea.
I'm an exchange student and studying abroad in the United States.
I met a lot of friends who want to learn Korean,
so I decided to start RU-vid channel.
Do you want to learn Korean for some reasons?
K-pop, K-drama, Korean culture and whatnot.
No matter why you decided to learn Korean, let's study together!
Today we're gonna learn expressions to say Hi and Bye in Korean.
You might already know "안녕(An-nyeong)",
but there are a lot of expressions except this one.
Here are expressions we're going to learn this time
: 안녕(An-nyeong) 안녕하세요(An-nyeong-ha-se-yo)
안녕히가세요(An-nyeong-hi-ga-se-yo) 안녕히계세요(An-nyeong-hi-gye-se-yo)
Especially, 안녕히가세요 and 안녕히계세요 look so similar that it makes you confused. Don't worry! I explained the differences for you.
I hope it helped you to learn Korean :)

감사합니다~~~! 😃 안녕하세요 크리스토퍼입니다. 반갑습니다 린씨! 자는 한국말 잘 못해요. 죄송합니다. 😔 But I'm trying very hard. 화이팅! ㅋㅋㅋ. Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling with 계세요 그리고 가세요 for a while now. I knew one was for when I'm leaving and the other for the listener is leaving. I just couldn't remember which one. It's surprising how many RU-vid channels that teach 한국어, 한국말 actually give conflicting information on this, but they weren't confidently clear on it. Yet, you gave this one quick lesson and it was obvious. Thank you again. 고마워요 그리고 안녕히계세요! 😁

Hello I’m wondering something. I learnt ‘Goodbye to those who are leaving’ but I forgot if its 안녕히가세요 or 안녕히게세요… Or ‘Goodbye to those who are staying’. Anyways I didn’t quite understand the ‘goodbyes’ but thank you for the lovely video, its really helpful!!

Korean alphabet "ㄱ" has /g/ or /k/ sound, but neither exact /g/ sound nor /k/ sound. (If you want, you can go to watch my video called "Korean alphabet (1)Consonants) I'm gonna say the pronunciation is middle between them. But,, um I know what you're talking about Many foreign friends said that too lol Thanks for the comment!

what does 안녕히 means

Ummmm I am not sure if I understood what you are wondering exactly..! Anyway, the word "안녕" actually means "being comfortable without any worries" (even some Korean doesn't know nor care this meaning and just use this expression for "hello", which means you don't have to care it either haha)! "히" is just used to link "안녕" with "가세요" or "계세요"

@@user-cn6dp6sw2t It might be a bit long, but it's actually a really good answer! 👍🏻 I actually learned something new from it! Most places for deeper 한국어, 한국말 learning just tells us that 알령 means "peace". I've even been trying to help English speakers that want to learn Korean that to understand how Korean works they need to know that many places tell us that 안녕하세요 means "Hello", but it doesn't! lol. It actually means "peace do" in English SVO (subject verb object) order. And in Korean SOV (subject object verb) order it means "do peace" and in Korean since I am talking to you we both know it so it's obvious. So "I" and "you" aren't needed and are left out. And the 요 at the end shows I am saying it respectfully. So 안녕하세요 more accurately means "I do you peace." said in a respectful way. And this is the most common way Korean people greet someone in a respectful way. 👍🏻 But the way you explained it helped me to see the meaning of 안녕 means more than just "peace". I like your explanation that it means "being comfortable without any worries" better and deeper than just "peace". Your explanation reminds me that we need to think about the Korean concept of each word and understand words the way Korean people understand it. See? Your's wasn't so long as you may have felt. lol! But it gave much better understanding of another part of the Korean language! 감사합니다! Thank you! 👍🏻😁 Take care and thanks again! 네. 저는 한국말을 잘 아직도 못해요. 죄송합니다.😔 But I'm still trying very hard! Hahaha! And I'm getting better! 화이팅! 고마워요 그리고 안녕히계세요.
