Sosina K I used my ARABIC to learn AMHARIC here in Washington DC USA. DC has a huge Ethiopian population and I worked at a place where the majority were Ethiopians and many of them didn't speak English well. First I sought out all the words shared by the two languages and then learned the other words. I became almost very fluent in AMHARIC. But unfortunately I had to quit the job and eventually forgot the language unfortunately. No practice

So, in my opinion, this is a good lesson, however, at the end when you speak Arabic (goes with all native Arab speakers), you talk too fast. Either slow down, or use Arabic subtitles, for all to understand and to learn. Shukran
@HashimAziz1
@HashimAziz1 2 года назад
People aren't gonna slow down for you in real life, so you need to get used to understanding Arabic at speed either way, which you can use the end of this video to help with and keep rewinding until you can make out the words in it.

I’ve just decided to learn Arabic and because you compare MSA with the Levantine dialect I believe that your channel is most appropriate for me. Unless I spend lots of time talking to myself I will probably find a native speaker that will enjoy chuckling at my attempts to become 2nd grade level fluent 😂. It may be interesting if you actually read from a newspaper, magazine or book and showed the words in MSA on a screen. Hearing and seeing Arabic may help us students learn vocabulary and be able to read it in a shorter period of time. Thank you for considering my thoughts.

I think it's best to learn the proper Arabic dialect because it can help a lot at school (where you will have to use proper Arabic). It nice though to have the Palestinian dialect as an extra as the end to show the differences. But please keep the proper dialect ❤️

Water (moya) Now "ma" ....with There is "bi'...that also means "with" like "bi-saker(with sugar)"... Also "biddunsaker(without sugar" That means i can also say "bi-aka haq"😂 If your new thats where you start to misunderstand people, anyway thats spoken here in SA(saudi arabia) i dont know in other countries

This sub-dialect/accent of the Palestinian dialect is what is referred to as Fallahi (which means the farmer) or in American speak, a country dialect/accent. This accent was more commonly spoken in the villages and rural areas of Palestine. Just like how people in the Southern United States have an accent or dialect that slightly differs from their New England or Midwestern brethren, the same holds true in Palestine and the rest of the Levant. Maha is speaking in the sub-dialect that is referred to as Medani (which means from the city). This accent is more common to the urban areas.
