In this video I'm going to walk you through the step by step process for getting your products listed through Inventory Lab and creating a shipment to send into Amazon.
The first step of the process is to get your items listed into Inventory Lab. To do this you go to 'List & Prep' and you'll be able to create a new batch to add your products to. You can scan your products UPC bar code to bring up the item and then you'll be able to input information like purchase price, supplier, and date of purchase. You can choose your list price and Inventory Lab will give you an estimate of profit and ROI.
When you have all your products listed you'll want to go and review your batch to make sure you have everything you want to send in. Since, I finish my shipments through Seller Central this is where you export your shipping plan file that you will need to upload into Amazon. From there we'll head over to Seller Central and start working on the shipment process.
On Seller Central you'll want to head over to Manage FBA shipments and you can upload a shipping plan. This is where you'll upload the file you downloaded from Inventory Lab. This will upload all your products to Amazon to get them into your inventory. After that is finished processing you can head over to shipping queue to work on your shipments.
You'll go through the process of getting your shipments ready by telling Amazon what prep is required and making sure your products are labeled. Then Amazon will tell you where it wants you to send your products. All you have to do is pack your products and walk through the rest of the shipment process to get your shipping labels.
Just like that you have products to send into Amazon, mostly through Inventory Lab.

I forgot to mention that you don't need to include the expiration date in Inventory Lab if you aren't going to finish the shipment in there. You'll input it in Seller Central as you see later on in the video.

When my inventory goes out of stock, do I resend the inventory using inventory lab or do I do this in seller central? Thank you for your video! I was looking for a video like this then saw you release this. I’m following this step by step. Thanks a bunch!!

Thank you for the video! super easy to follow... my only question is, what is the process if I do not want to print the labels in inventory lab one by one?

No problem, glad you found it helpful! You can also print your item labels in Seller Central when finalizing the shipment.

Since you are not using IL to finalize shipment could you not just use Sellerboard for tracking items and list and ship via SC or would you still recommend IL? Not really sure of the advantages of IL over using SC.

I can't really give an opinion on sellerboard since I've never used it. I do have a video that goes in depth on why I use IL, but the accounting features are great for me. I can put all my costs into it as I list my items.

Hi, nice video quick question, i see you are using inventory lab for FBA retail arbitrage is this tool also good for someone that does FBA online arbitrage with a prep center? this means someone that buys stuff and sends everything to a prep center so they prepare it and reship the items to Amazon. This method is usually more for people outside US
@pathtobillions8070
@pathtobillions8070 3 года назад
Yes, I use Inventory Lab for my Amazon business whether its online or retail arbitrage and also wholesale. The accounting features are definitely worth it. With using Inventory Lab to send products into Amazon from a prep center, I don't know how that works since I don't use one myself.

Great Video, question; what I will do if I dont know how much is the sales taxes of my 8 items? Ex; I bought 10 units and the total with taxes is $98.27 , but I dont know the sales taxes to find out the cost of my unit? Should I skip the little box of IL of taxes , and just divide 98.27/10 = 12.28 cost per unit ?
@pathtobillions8070
@pathtobillions8070 2 года назад
Hey, sales tax is whatever percentage your state charges. So my state charges 6.625% so that's what I put in the box.

Great video! I followed every step of the way. Quick question... so after I export it and then import it to Seller Central and see which cities it goes to, I tend to play with the number of items I send so that I get the most out of my shipment. For example, let's say I'm shipping 14 units of item X. Because of the size and weight of the boxes, I decide to add 5 more units of item X. Does Inventory Lab pick up on these changes automatically during the next sync session? Or do I have to manually adjust it in InventoryLab? And if it does automatically detect and sync the extra 5 units, does it apply the same "rules" I applied to the original batch of 14?
@pathtobillions8070
@pathtobillions8070 3 года назад
If you didn't originally add those 5 items in Inventory Lab, then you will have to add them manually. Pretty easy to add, go to Inventory (in IL) and click the MSKU. There you add or substract any changes you made.

Thanks for this video. So I have a few questions - I'm only doing OA because I'm outside the US, so I ship to my prep center from my sources. Before I make my purchases, I currently check whether I can sell the product by going first to seller central to see whether I can sell it, so my products are already listed in Amazon So how should I be using IL to do this process? Also, if I am replenishing a product, is there a way I can search through my current products instead of going to search to seller central? And lastly - because my products arrive at different times at the prep center, I don't know in advance which products are going to be in any particular shipment.
@pathtobillions8070
@pathtobillions8070 4 года назад
No problem. Thanks for watching. To try and answer your questions. To check restrictions you can just use the 'Add a Product' page on Seller Central to see if you're allowed to sell it. I mention this in another video about Tactical Arbitrage. With Inventory Lab you can check your current inventory under their 'Inventory' tab. I'm not entirely sure how prep centers work since I don't use them. You would have to talk to yours to see how they handle OA shipments. If you have additional questions, let me know!

Can you scan the item on you Amazon app and it show up in Inventory Lab to add to a batch?
@pathtobillions8070

I don't think you can do that. Inventory Lab does have Scoutify which is similar to Amazon Seller App. You might be able to do something like that in there, but I've never done it myself.

@@pathtobillions8070 hi do you have an updated video or instructions on how to create this type of shipment since Amazon changed the shipping pages and flow? There is no "shipping que" to upload the file to anymore. And the only place where I find a way to upload the file on AS (SEND TO AMAZON) sees the Inv lab file as full of errors, it asks you to use their template. Even after migrating data from the text file into their template and uploading it back to AS it asks for shipping prep type which I have to change to NO PREP NEEDED and then asks who labels units (essentially ignoring its own template data) so manually I select seller again. I have to do this manually for every item. Has to be a better way.
