This is the only video on the entire Internet that has helped me! It's been such a stressful challenge digitising my watercolours, and you explained so well, and your video was completely entertaining and delightful to watch. The stress of digitised has really taken the fun out of finishing my book, yet you made it so simple. Thank you so much x
@shooraynerdrawing thank you, it's worked really well. I couldn't download the software because my scanner is a printer too, so I just used the software it can with. Yet your levels expertise really helped me in the end and my scans have come out beautifully. Thank you so much 😊
Oh my goodness, thisisSO much easier than going pixel by pixel around the edges with the eraser ☺️🤣 You just saved me SO much time. Thank you very much!
Ah, ha! I've traditionally gone from watercolor paper to a scanner (without benefit of provided or purchased pre-scan "tidying up") to the Affinity apps for edit/layout. The level of cleanup you've demonstrated in a separate scanner app made an almost painfully noticeable difference. In December I purchased a scanner of recent design with a ridiculous scanning size (14 x something...22, perhaps?) to facilitate my habit of "drawing up" to tighten down the final image, but I now see there is a "middle-ground" I've totally neglected. This video was a literal revelation. As ever, thank you, Shoo.
This channel is great. I’m in the beginning stages of writing my own children’s book and this kind of channel is just what I need. I’ve subscribed! Can you do a video on all the different pens, paints and resources you use?
would you suggest taking your artwork to a professional scanner if you want to scan artwork that's bigger than your flatbed scanner? To scan and tile and put together an artwork just seems to be too much work lol
You could geta bigger scanner? but they can be quite expensive. I stitch my larger artwork together but it depands on how big it is. if your width is bigger than twice the height, it gets a bit difficult. I'll make a video
The scanning software is much higher quality and is particularly tuned to the model of scanner. You can also fine-tune it if you really want to as well. Photoshop is an image manipulation app. It’s scanning abilities pretty much make it an image grabber nothing too sophisticated
