if you're experienced GK you don't watch his "body language" that means nothing. Only watch opponents legs and you will save most of shoots

your "natural side" can be changed by changing your angle. if i'm facing the goal straight on, then yes - as a right footer - the left side of goal is natural to me. if i rotate to the right by 45 degrees, however, now the middle of the goal is my "natural side" and a clear miss is my "unnatural side" rotate another 45 degrees and your "natural side" - as a right footer - becomes the right side of goal

What's your source for the 7% at the end? I'm mainly curious about the sample size.

really awesome work.... i would like to suggest one different oppinion regards the goalies save percentage (left/right) using strong or weak hand... IMO the deciding factor is actually the leg not the hand - it feels more or less natural jumping from your stronger or weaker foot. i played as a goalie growing up from age 5-9 before turning into a midfielder and main penalty taker. my thing as a righty was shooting with the outter part of my right food to the right corner, if you train it the movement looks like you shoot left and as the percentages and study proof majority of people shoot left and goalies prefer to jump to the same corner as well

In a penalty situation the shooter has better chances to win tje shootout,so when a footballer misses a penalty the critisicm is deserved
