I watched one video before this one, and this one is 10 times better. More detailed and it actually shows scenarios. This was perfect, especially for a last minute learning time. Thank you so much.
I wrestled in gym class in middle school. The wrestling coach wanted me to join the team, idk why but the first question I asked was how are points scored. Swear coach sounded exactly like this guy telling me😂
Im a judo guy and would love to see the diffrent scoring for takedowns o see you can get scores from 2-5 points just wondering what type of takwdowns score the higher points
My question is at a match I was at the guy had his opponent in a pinning position but the ref counted three then slammed the mat, was it because his shoulders were completely on the mat by the count of three?
Yes, there is 3 "2 minute" periods in one wrestling match for high school that equal up to 6 straight minutes. 30 seconds between each period that you can take a break but can't leave the mat. I think that every pin or take down will equal 2 points each. But I dont know how many points that you can get up to in a full 6 minute match.
depending on the grade or age rules differ. I know for high school wrestling there is comparing to middle and college the time is different and small changes with points and certain things are changed but not much is different to my knowledge. Though, I do still recommending to look into it!
I lost a wrestling match because i was like around 2x my opponents weight and he was allowed to win by like huggin my feet together for three seconds i was able to throw him off excatly at the three second mark. I was actually thinking killing myself after that because, again my opponent was around half my size and weight and he was the one who wanted the match, then complained and got the leg thing added, and losing to a guy like him in a wrestling match is maybe the most humiliating thing ever.
