I only meant to watch a minute or two of this video to see how you were going to accomplish the builds- that was about 5 fifteen minute videos ago! I’ve got to go to bed! Love your channel- subscribed after the first two minutes. Thanks!

A few days ago I was nursing a grumpy baby at 2am. RU-vid recommended I watch this video. I did. Then another, then another. I watched my way through your channel. These videos are great. So well made, narrated, edited. Makes me want to make things. And I don't even play any games. Thank you for them.

Wow! If I saw those completed structures without this video, I'd assume there's no way I could create something so complicated. But, when you break down each step, it actually seems like something a beginner like me could accomplish! Love this video!

They're fun to make - with the structure done you can adorn them with whatever the hell is left in your beads bin. It's pretty fun.

Wyloch's Crafting Vids - I read tarot cards 😊 But I take more of a psychological approach to reading rather than the stereotyped spiritual, "woo-woo" style. I also have a possibly unhealthy addiction to the cardboard crack known as Magic the Gathering. On the 40k front, I've been playing Sisters of Battle since they were Witch Hunters. This video is right up the alley of what I've always dreamed of making for my shooty nuns. 😀

Great vid, A tip for if you want a concrete wall texture is to mix a bit of light spackle with PVA glue, fine grain sand, a little water, paint it on roughly with a large brush and then stipple it a bit to remove any obvious brush stroke, due to the PVA being in the mix it solidifies great and become really sturdy.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me get my Wyloch fix on! A great video and I have not yet worked with chipboard. Thanks for taking away my reason and I look forward to cranking some of these out. The Gothic look certainly works well for multiple types of games. And a great point on saving up items in what I think we all call our junk boxes. You just keep adding and eventually, you've got a collection that has plenty of stuff for multiple gaming terrain pieces. Thanks again and take care!

Dude, you are a freaking genius. As a picky wargamer on a strict budget, all of your fantastic content is amazing and has helped immensely. Have you considered doing some historical style terrain for a video? I love to mix in bits of modernish equipment in with my settings and am currently planning a train depot for bolt action. It might be really cool to see you do a video for something in that vein. Thanks for all your content. It is really awesome.

automotive primer would cover more then the spray paint as the first layer on to the chipbord for it would not soak in . automotive primer also allows for the silver to have shadows already built in/ allows it to also stick better.
@WylochsArmory
@WylochsArmory 7 лет назад
Is it expensive? This primer was $4.
@cawsking555
@cawsking555 7 лет назад
it is only 1 more and comes in white, black, gray and a dark red " this is rust-oleum sandable primer" . becuse its a automotive primer is a filler /sandable primer but you have to add one more step to it tho. And that is to use a hair driyer on it to remove the smell and cure it. this is also ; grate for metal models , fine cast and reaper bones models as whell.

Great video !!! Not only great tutorials for 40k vehicles but you've created some really awesome terrain to play the game in & around. I have to say though that the floor tiles look genius ! Plus they can be used for any sci fi/steampunk game. I think your floor tiles could definately be used on any larger base to make it look fantastic. TY again for showing the pieces you got from the crafting store, they really make the buildings look professional, the other toy pieces Ive used & would recommend are from Bionicle, they can be found 2nd hand really cheap if you dont have any lying around. The prices for GW terrain are soooo prohibitively high I never see actual gamers own much of it except for what might come in a boxed game set ( like the new necromunda game), it seems to be the domain of the store owners Yet you created some ruins Id be proud to own ( & prouder still knowing I made them ). Having gotten into 40k/fantasy & D&D back in the mid 80s I got alot of experience in creating what our group needed but each of your videos is excellent & its hard to not compliment you on doing such great work & then sharing the knowledge w/the rest of us. That's some nice work; especially the gribbles. Have you experimented with adding some slight texture to your walls before painting them?
@WylochsArmory
@WylochsArmory 7 лет назад
I have not. But actually the fiber of the chipboard has a slight fuzz which catches drybrushing nicely. The thing is, of course, the real models are just festooned with awesome unique doodads and details. If you have the patience and eye for it, beads and such could simulate that, sorta...

Normal corrugated cardboard will not be as sturdy, and also its hard to get clean looking curved cuts, plus lots of exposed corrugation to cover up. Id recommend spending the few bucks for a lifetime supply of chipboard.
