Hi! Your videos are extremely informative and helpful. Thank you! I am just getting in to all of this and would like to get started immediately. I have everything I need to get started and had a question re screen size. My main focus is on printing t-shirts (adults mainly) and am not sure if my set-up is optimal in terms of screen size. I will be using a screen that is 610 x 760 mm (metric system here in South Africa ;). I was hoping you could advise on whether that will add any additional complexities to the process or not..? Thnak you so much for all the advice you offer on your channel!

That's a great screen size! Right in the middle so you can do mostly all adult sizes, but you won't be able to do all over prints with it most likely. Thanks for watching! LEt us know if you ever have any questions :)

Until today, I never considered screen printing for a project I am working on. I was wondering... I am creating a board game and wanted to make the "boards" out of 36" by 36" duck canvas with a screen printed pattern on them. Would that be a plausible project with a screen printer? I know the size is a little bigger than most the screen printing sets I have seen so I was just curious as to the feasibility? Thanks for any info!

Hey there AWESOME question! We actually have a local game shop do this on even larger pieces of fabric than that! They do it for their tabletop miniature games using a huge 42"x48" oversized screen. It takes some rigging up and probably help from a friend but its definitely doable! The key is to ensure you're using the right kind of ink for the substrate. Please give us a call at 800-314-6390 and let us know what kind of fabric and we can go into detail on how to accomplish this job. Please ask for Jake Franks if you would like my personal experience with this type of job! :)

great video , does water based ink work on say film type of paper / transparency type material, Im trying to print some animation cels on some transparency type sheet its a little bit thicker more rubbery but still the same type of see through transparency sheet but my plastisol ink won't dry & i don't want to burn the sheet , what type of ink do you recommend i use ???

I am in truly in love with your demonstrations with you silkscreening and that I am truly anxious to learn a lot from you...the type of silkscreening I want to do is portraits and posters. When silkscreening a poster or a portrait how can you put three of four colors when silkscreening posters?

thanks! this is helpful. can you use plastisol ink on paper too? why is the mesh count so high?

Hey there! It's not suggested to use plastisol as plastisol will need to be cured for it to fully dry. As for the high mesh count, water based tends to run thinner than plastisol which is why we use a high mesh count.

+eric santos thanks for watching! Higher mesh counts can clog easier with water based ink but so long as you keep the image flooded and keep a bottle of water nearby to mist your prints regularly, everything will be great!

It's really up to your needs. Light paper can curl with heat and over saturation easier. Golden Press Studio released a video about poster printing you can check out for more details!
