@@JustSaytheWordLLCGINAGIL Thanks! I'll have to ask our client where she got them. This was a contract screen printing job. We normally get ours from SanMar though.

Thanks for the advice Matt, really nice turn out on them towels! I wished I had enough work for an automatic press lol. Anyhow I use a water based adhesive as well, to much money for the aerosol sprays , less mess and more prints. I would go through cases of sprays determining what substrate I used $20 quart of water base tack last me more then 1000 prints easy, try that with aerosol spray tacks, you would be lucky to make it to 500 prints on a can that cost $14 -$20 depending on brand of manufacturer. Any time! And thanks! LOL, I know the feeling. It's taking me 5 years, dreaming about an auto to be able to afford a used one, and now onto something new. I agree with you. Spray tack can be good in a pinch, but spreadable adhesive is less mess, costs less, and is better for your health. I appreciate it! Trying to crank out as much videos as possible, or film jobs as well go to try and help everyone out. Sometimes we have to just concentrate on our work which is why things can be silent at moments.

Matt, why is the press still in the shop and when is your new one coming? What is the first white your putting down and what mesh screen? What’s the highlight white brand your using and what mesh on that 2nd screen. 🤘🏾Andy

Hey Andy! Taking a little longer than expected to get the press in due to my scheduling. We're really busy and needed to put it off. They offered to send it to the shop, but we don't have space for it, so we're waiting to finish up our workload for the year. We're anxious to get it in, but we have a lot of jobs due that we can't put off at the moment. I used the same ink for the base and second white. Wilflex epic amazing bright white. First screen is 195 and the second 230.

Mikey Designs & Silk Screen gotcha Matt . Can’t wait to see the new one . Thanks for the info, sometimes I don’t know what mesh to use . I only keep using the combo of 110/150 or 160/200 . I may try a 200/230 kinda like what you did and see the results and hopefully gives me a thinner feel

@@Factory928AC It takes a little getting used to if you have been using lower mesh counts. Using a 195 / 230 combo even for white will give you a much softer hand. Almost Waterbased like. You'll use less ink, emulsion, and spend less time exposing screens.

Towels came out great. I love that waterbased pallet glue. never looked back at the spray stuff ever since i switched over. sometimes I do still use the web spray stuff for hoodies but that tends to grab so much lint off of the garments and builds up a nasty lint carpet on the pallets. Pain in the ass to get off. have to use acetone. you run into that problem?

I agree! I feel the same way. Only time we use a spray is web spray for hoodies. We just account for the extra time needed to remove the pallet tape and replace it, plus the cost of the web spray. We generally charge another 50% more than we would for shirts because of the extra costs associated with printing hoodies.

hey, have you tried waterbase ink on towels? it makes a huge different in the feel of the final product.

We have! The first prints we did using water based in this video, but the ink kept drying up in the screens.

Sir, what's the difference between white under base ink and normal white ink. Can I use the normal white ink for under base??

You can use the same ink. The difference is just the mesh count, in this case. The white base is a 195 and the top a 230.

@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 like with DGT method, I checked people are printing tshirt with printing machine like EPSON and FOCUS. why are you printing manually?

@@themehmoodshah These were printed on an automatic press. DTG machines take about 5 minutes a print, plus these towels need the really corse knit to be filled. With an automatic screen printing press, I'm running these at about 10 seconds per towel. They needed these within 6 hours time. IMO, no way a DTG could turnaround a print as fast and fill the knit of these towels like screen printing on an automatic.
