Thanks for this clarification. But... wow is it stupid by Google to make users open a web browser to see the backed-up content that's no longer on the device. This should definitely be a feature of app itself! And as others have mentioned... there's no easy way to RESTORE to device (using Download saves in a new location with new metadata. 👎) Hopefully this can be updated in the future.

It tells me to download the app even tho I already have it installed on my phone :(

Trevor Nace: I had some photos taken with my samsung galaxy in the summer of 2018, and they will always show in my google photos, but as of the begging of this year 2024, these specific photos stop showing and I can't find them anymore. I have a 100 GB of storage through google subscription, and only 30 GB of the 100 are taken. I've checked in my google photos over and over and over, but I can't find them, am I missing something??? I am stil missing a shit ton of photos. It's sad. It was from an airshow which my country did every 2 years I think, but that one I had photos and videos from was the last one they ever did, because of funding because it was too expensive. It was in 2018. I can literally not see any photo in that time line.
