What you really want to look for 1) heat temperature, they should feel cold to the touch 2) the Digital Crown and button , should not make any clicky sound 3) the headband does not bend. You shouldn’t be able to squeeze it .
You can scratch number one, the new fake ones also have metal on the cups so also feel cold. Best bet at this point is to use the sim-tool and try to take off the cups, that can't be done with the fake ones. Also the cushions still have less strong magnets, you can lift the real ones by the cushion, with the fake ones they will come off.
The easiest way to tell right off the bat is the copyright year on the back. All the fakes say 2023 while the real ones say 2020 as that’s the year they were released
I literally just received a pair I bought off EBay. Open the box and the date says 2024… I already know what to expect…I paid $215…dammit I should’ve known!!! 😡
Shame you had to spend $900 just to get the real deal. Just always buy new from a reputable store or catch a sale. FB Marketplace is flooded with fake products. Ok now how do they sound???
I have the real one since i checked all the reasons mentioned above but when i enter the serial number it shows that "currently unable to validate the purchase date"
@@wracki i am all for buying the real deal designer clothes i spend alot of money on designer clothes i hate fake designer clothes. However when it comes to headphones that i just listen to maybe an hour a day max and the quality from the p9 headphones i bought from amazon for £9.99 vs £500 for real air pods max its a no brainer why spend £490 more when it looks the same and the sound is fine about sony £40 headphone quality. Also alot of ppl say airpod max dont even sound as good as £80 seizher headphones.
@@Mainlyrock__1017fair enough, people are paying for the luxury of Apple, easy connection, noise cancellation/transparency. And to be honest I’ve never heard better headphones before in my life. But to be fair I have not tried any Sony . Heard the XM4s are better and cheaper but it’s really up to the buyer . I wanted Apple brand personally
@@wracki It just boils down to people who dont know much about tech believe apple is best. Everyone just follows each other, celebs and influencers and they all have apple phones headphones etc. 87% of people under 30 have apple. Yes i have a iphone 12 but also have a s22 because i want functionality to do more. But yh i'm not nocking ppl who want apple luxury just understand the headphones are insanely overpriced its just 2 speakers and a chip on a headband its 80's tech slightly revamped for today for £500
