Thanks Susie, I just migrated to the UK from Hong Kong, and found your channel introducing the culture in UK. The information introduced by you and your mother are really very useful for new migrants.
It is so cute to interview your own mother. Thanks for sharing. This is so useful to a lot of Hong Kong people who recently migrate to UK. And next time pls bring in Sid😽 pls…….
Hi Susie, I just can't say enough how much lovely and elegant your accent is. I would very much happy if you would do a video of whole English conversation. Maybe you could do a playlist of whole British English conversation videos. It would be amazing. Much love!
Hi Susie, this is very helpful and there isn't many similar videos available! I'm a pharmacist and been working closely with NHS and other health organisations in the past years and very much second your comments! 非常棒:)
It's a really good native English course. Appreciated. One suggestion, if you could consider, to have a summary at the end of each session, highlights the key points for learning.
Wow!! Actually it helps a lot. I am a geriatrian in Taiwan and once took a exchange course in Nottingham University Hospital. That will really remind me the good old time there back in the UK. This kind of video do help people to know more about the difference between two medical system. Hope to see more of these in the future.
Thank you very much indeed ,Susie and your doctor Mum who came to update us with latest information on how to book medical appointment with GP in UK and its related matters. This is absolutely helpful and informative especially for new comers to UK. You are a most capable speaker and also extremely fluent in Mandarin. Once again, may I express my sincere appreciation for the varieties of all useful and tailor-made programs on your RU-vid videos which I have mostly seen it all. 🤣🤣🤗🤗👍👍👍👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏👧
Thank you Susie for creating so many practical videos. This also demonstrates how civilised UK Society is. Elsewhere in the World many governments do not value their citizens, and/or treating them like menace.
I am from Shanghai, stayed in Australia for 16yrs but I would say I am still not good at all in speaking. I also hardly enjoy the very strong Uk or Nz accents. However, your pronunciation made me love the real original English, I think it should be the standard of the pronunciation. Clear, accurate and relaxing.
than you for making videos like these, it not only helps me to understand how things work in England but also to reflect on how we can do things differently in Taiwan.
The word "Surgery" has a different meaning in Canada, or USA, usually it means an operation. In Canada or the USA, the word "Clinic" is usually used for a place where people go to see a doctor in the community. Funny how the English words differ in meaning across the Atlantic ocean.
🙂🙂🙂 Again, thank you so much for sharing. In fact this is the first time I see what it is about “to see a doctor in the UK”.
I just moved to Scotland. The video is helpful, although the regulations for NHS.scot are slightly different from NHS in England. Thank you. I thought only GP refer the patients to specialists. Surprisingly, nurses, pharmacists or any specialist in the NHS system can do as well.
You two are too cute. Your little play wasn’t quite good. You don’t sound like doctor and patient at all. Her voice and her tone was so nice, gentle, caring, full of love, sounds like a mother. Your tone was like, hurry up mom, I’m going out with my friends in ten minutes, clearly an impatient child. My doctor never talks to me like that. LOL 😂
yeaaa it really takes a long time waiting for a GP appointment here. i'm still waiting for a GP checkup for a job application as you're not a football fan at all as you have said in a video before, i think you may think of talking about Euro football cup no matter England 🏴 wins or not. it's crucial part of the culture in this country i believe
That’s why. You are so beautiful and your mom is so beautiful and looking so young. Therefore your is a doctor. So both of you are pretty and smart. 👍👍👍
I had a lot of unpleasant experiences about GPs. It is very frustrating to visit a doctor in the U.K. all GPs work differently and some of them don’t really care about the patient! Googling the symptoms in front me, not transferring me to a specialist even though I have a record of long term illness, asking me to go to the GP which is 1hour away from my dorm for a blood test while the local hospital is just 10mins away, the GP is not letting me to book a blood test although the specialist already requested for me. So much miscommunication and this really wasted resources, time and money on both sides. Hopefully the system will get better! And I really appreciate that you made this video. I wish there was such informative video before I went to the UK
