So that pre-existing diseases are covered after 2/3/4 years of continuous renewal without break up of period 3) go for cash less facility so that you will not be fooled 4) never disclose the sum insured to hospital authorities 5) check the policy for co-pay, limits for particular diseases. 6) if claim is rejected approach ombudsman.

So they billed 2 lakhs for second stunt and insurance got paid 1.97 lakh.😂 Edi first time kadu nenu ma mother ki elane aindi , ma wife dad kuda elane aindi. That's perfect explanation. Few more points: (a) Proportionate amount calculation when the patient opts for higher/better room. (b) Ask for co-pay to know your share of amount to pay (c) Ask if Non-medical expeses will be covered or does it need a rider.

Hi annaya, meru oka step Miss chesaru, irdai ki complaint chesina Grievances team ke veltadi, akkada response satisfactory ledu ante , we have another step called insurance ombudsman, here the responses are faster & this is purely for insurance cases, i approached them for one of my case & it got resolved & even insurance companies also accepted that. I think nen aa case gurinchi me previous video lo detailed ga petta message, insurance ombudsman gurinchi mana viewers ki awareness evvandi ani.
My claim got rejected at pre-auth status in cashless claim. I called customer support but they said to apply for reclaim. I informed the same to the hospital billing team they said without the proper reason why the claim got rejected we can't reapply again because they will be rejected again. Again I called the service desk. They said the doctor didn't not provided proper info for hospitalization. I asked what info you need and they said the doctor will update that. Finally my cashless claim got rejected and the insurance company recommended to go for reimbursement. 😢
I am holding Star Health Insurance. But recently a doctor posted that many of his patients with this health insurance faced lot of trouble while claiming. I am not going to renew my policy with star. definitely i will port to another provider. suggestions welcome
Victim of Star health, paid for more than 3 years, later when needed they rejected the claim saying pre existing disease which we really dint know before. I didn’t opt for any other insurance policy then after as I lost hope. Now it’s very difficult to get a policy for my mother at 58 years.

For eye surgery, current eye hospital asked to get few tests from Apollo Hospital because of my few conditions. Every test was done but it costed 50k and surgery costed 50k. But star health insurance didn't covered the lab tests.

Even, i faced similar kind of rejection with pre existing disease. I took a policy about a year ago in Care health. And I disclosed diabetes, BP and cholestrol kind of regular stuff which are common with age. Hospital people wrote that we are using Parkinson disease related tablet since 2 years. And insurance guys just rejected with this reason. And kept policy also in hold with Parkinson disclosure. Not sure what needs to be done. Will try to raise a grievience with them .

They asked for cancel cheque/pass book. I have already uploaded passbook. Still they are raising the same query. They have raised this query 4 times. Its been around 1week.still the status remains same. I have taken hdfc ergo health policy. Now I have sent an email for customer support about this. Waiting for their response. May i know what is maximum amount of days within which they need to settle the amount.

You could have briefed a bit regarding the final escalation level of insurance ombudsman also which helped thousands during covid crisis when their claims were unjustly rejected by all ins companies.
