Thanks sir...very good explanation. So if i am to select a fuse to run a 100kva load so i i will have to convert 100 kva into kw i.e 125 kw then to watt i.e 125000w then {125000÷(1.732×415)}×1.25=217.382. So i can use a 250A HRC fuse. Please tell me if i am right or wrong.

what about power factor, i guess we need to multiply power factor in denominator for 3 phase

Dear Abhishek ji Mostly we seen relay manual back up fuse rating given three time of motor kw.but as per your three phase motor calculation fuse rating app. equal to full load of motor current.so we confuse here.so pl help to explain it. Thanks

Sir, what about overload? If 2 times rated current is to flow through this fuse for 10 sec, then how to confirm whether selected fuse is OK for such applications?

Hii Abhisek You explain very well..and you make really interesting and knowledgeable videos, i really appreciate for that.. But I like to clear one think.. NO stand for Normally Open NC for Normally Close in normal condition it means when circuit is not in use.. But when you start the circuit NO contact become CLOSE not NC and NC contact become OPEN not NO Thank you..

Jab three phase me agar hum 420 volt suppose le rhe hai to phir √3 se multiply q krna hai ?? Agar 420 * √3 ke denge to ye karib 726 volt ho jayega to us hisab se hamara 3 phase ka voltage 726 consider ho jayega 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Sir manlo motor 46amp he to kitne ka fuse lagega Waise 10/less than current fix krte he lekin Mere kahne ka matlB ye he ki Fuse ki reting to pahle hi fix hoti he Or aa rahe mil rahe amp se Reting fuse kam rakhe ya jyada rakhe ....?Pls reply mi

Sir Hamara company ni me ek agitator Moto 55 kW ka he to is formula se 96A ho Raha he Lekin feeder me 200 A ka fuse Laga he .to sir please explain the query please

Shibaprasad, 55kw ka FLC is 110A. But bcoz of high Starting current, 200A is good. But 200 se ek range kam ka bhi laga sakte ho koi problem nahi hai..

Sirji.....my fuse rating is not matching with this formula as motor is of 2.2 kW & fuses in feeder are of around 16/20 A....but by this formula it's calculating just around to 4 A

They are used as a backup protection to protect motor.

Nilesh, aajkal fuse replace ho gaye hai.. Use RCBO.. Maine RCBO pe video banaya hai.. Use dekhiye.

Vivek ji, Aisa nahi sochna ki hume in current ko plus karna padega.. aisa nahi hai.. Agar aapko resultant current chahiye to aap simple iska average nikal sakte hai..
