Thank you so much for sharing this video!! This video helped me a TON in setting up the Corjil process!! Super appreciate your time and details in sharing!!
Would love to see a video on how to create a bundle of cards to sell on Etsy using Corjl! This video was so helpful. I was hesitant about using mockups in Photoshop, but your step by step instructions helped a lot. More videos on that would be awesome! Thank you!
Thanks so much for this video! I am just opening my Etsy shop and couldn’t figure out how to change the listing to be digital only. Definitely subbing since you’re so helpful :)
Hi Sandra, thank you for showing how to use Corjl. I think you were much better than the people demonstrating it on the website Corjl. They were so fast and in and out of everything. I think they forgot we are new and learning. Love to see more of your Videos great teacher Sandra.. Thanks again
@@SandraEide I was thinking the same thing. I’ve been struggling with Canva and finally gave up after finding out all my designs downloaded at only 96 dpi with no way to change them. So frustrating. This is so much nicer and with the added benefit of allowing the customer to do their own customizations. This seems like a perfect alternative.
just signed up for Corjl, but I'm somewhat disappointed to find that there's no built-in image library, only a few basic ones. Where can I source images to upload in Corjl?
Hi! Thanks for the info! I saw a short video about that course and it looks like you need keynote?? I don't have that or can't get it. would that prevent me from ordering the templates you recommend?
Why did you only attach the "start instructions" as the digital file? You dont need to attach the PDF or JPG of the invitation? Does that mean it will be assumed that they get the link of the invitation through an email?
Hello. I don't have a degree in graphic design so if I want to sell my artwork, how would I save it? Would I use a PDF or a JPG? Can you tell me the difference? I have been looking at your other videos and there is a lot of detail, which I what to explore. So, how can I start as a beginner with one drawing? Thank you.
Crazy question... I am trying to link a corjl listing to my etsy listings, but etsy is asking for a digital file to be uploaded. How do I direct etsy to the corjl listing? I don't see how to get an etsy listing I.D. without some kind of digital file being attached to the etsy listing. so confused
Great video, but how come at 22:43 you didn't choose either show bleed, or show trim marks? Shouldn't these be selected in case the customer wants to print and cut themselves? And what about duplicating the invite so that your getting more than one invite per page? Thx for ur help 😀
I had no idea this existed! Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely try it because as a graphic designer I'm always using Photoshop, Illustrator, etc... but this sounds like a good solution too! What I didn't understand was: who edits the changes once the client purchases the card? Do they have a link and edit it by themselves or you edit and send them the final file?
Thanks for watching! I use all the adobe products as well with my work, but Corjl makes it so easy for editable products. Using Corjl with Etsy makes it so that once the customer purchases through Etsy, they receive an email with a Corjl link to edit it themselves. Although sometimes they have asked me for assistance which is totally fine too, but for the most part, it's self edited and you don't have to do anything else besides list it for sale (:
This was so helpful! Thank you for making the video. I have only purchased these editable invites from Etsy, never sold, so my only question is.. once they purchase their instant download, is there another step to take so they get immediate access to their file? Or will Etsy or Corjl automatically do that since you linked the two? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks!
You are welcome! Thanks so much for watching! You are correct. As long as you have linked the Corjl file with your Etsy listing, the customer will get an email from Corjl with the link right after they purchase. (: Easy peasy
Hello. I wonder if you can answer a left field question. I'm exploring this option, but hit road block and wonder with your experience if you may know the answer. I would normally offer clients the option of metallic ink or gold/silver/rose gold foil, and then customise their invite myself. I would now like to move to this system, but can't find any help or information on if offering the ink/foil option is possible. Normally I'd have a pdf on layers in the document for the printer - but I don't seem to be able to clarify if Corjl offers this option. Have you ever crossed paths with this type of query? thanks!
Hi Sandra, great video! My question is: when you list on Etsy do they purchase it before they edit the file in Corjl? If so, why do they have to buy it again in Corjl? I'm new to digitals and just learned about Corjl through you. Thanks in Advance!
Thank you (: They purchase the file on Etsy only. They get the email link from Corjl to edit the item but do not pay an additional fee for Corjl. Only the store owner pays a monthly fee for Corjl.
Hi, I have some questions. When the customers click Buy Now after they try demo with their name. It means they buy the final file from Etsy with their name on it or just the original file. I hope you understand my question. Not that good in English.
Hello! And what happened with your designs? They will only be available on Corjl? Or you can have them or they can be editable on our personal design programs?
Hi! If you don’t know how to design can you use websites like creative market to purchase designs and fonts? If not, does anyone know which sites you can purchase them from?
Hello, quick question. So I have to create design in Corjl, complete the Etsy listing in it's entirety (with mockup, etc) to get the listing ID, then go back and finish the process in Corjl? I tried to see if I could just do quick place holder in Etsy, and save as a draft. While I did get a listing ID in draft mode, when I tested the demo link, it was blank.
Hello! Yes, its totally fine to make a quick etsy placeholder to grab the listing ID. It sounds like your finished design in Corjl might not have saved. So check to make sure its saved, insert the listing ID in the info tab and save again. Go to the listings tab, click on sales channel "none". Make sure the listing has the icon of your finished file, if it is blank or shows up as the corjl logo then it probably wasn't saved. Once you make sure its saved and go back to listings it should show up with the icon of the finished design and then you can insert the listing ID again and then grab the demo link. And the demo link should work. Let me know if that worked for you. (:
@@SandraEide OMG, I have literally been trying to figure this out all day long and was getting very discouraged. That worked perfectly! Thank you so, so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond!
@@taneshah.1260 I am really glad you asked and glad I was able to help you! That same issue has tripped me up a few times. I don't realize I haven't saved my design and then it's showing up as blank and I'm freaking out. I'm happy to help. Let me know if you have any other questions. And good luck with your etsy shop! (:
@Tanesha Holman I will be doing this soon but I get confused of going back and forth with the links and between putting it on your Etsy account. Toward the end of the video is where I mess up.
Hello your video is awesome and helpful. Question when you list the digital invitation the link given to the customer you said you provide the QuickStart instructions. So my question is when customer purchase the file. They are given those instruction. Do they have to pay again once they go on corjl? Because I’ve had customers say they purchase the file and Instructions were sent however they’re not able to get the invitation. So they go to corjl make their personalization and have to buy it again? So mainly for them not to be able to purchase twice they should follow the demo link first before clicking the buy button
Hello! Customers edit on Corjl for FREE. Most sellers attach a "QuickStart" or "Instructions" as the digital file when a purchase on Etsy is made. They will receive their order via an email from Corjl or they can login on our website to access their order.
Hello... I would like to make my invitation designs editable through corjl, however I worry about whether commercial licences on the clipart purchased through Creative Market, Creative Fabrica, Etsy etc allow for use on template software like Corjl?
@@dawnforeyt4072 I found out that if you search for 'permission licence' on Etsy, there are artists who allow you to use their clipart on Templett, Corjl, Zazzle etc... hope this helps!
Hi thanks for your video! It's helping me a lot. I'm just starting to use corjl, but when I have sold other digital products listed on etsy I do not list them as Made To Order -- is this something I should do with corjl even though I will not have to make these to order since the customer will be editing it themselves?
Angela Bello Thank you so much for your comment! I am happy the video has helped. I do try to list my editable Corjl items as “made to order” just in case. Even though you aren’t editing it, it’s that extra reminder that it’s not a finished product.
Is it possible to upload Adobe InDesign or Illustrtor files into Corjl? I made my wedding invitations with Adobe and don't want to do the design all over again.
I'm not sure if there is an integration to move adobe files into Corjl. From what I know, I don't think it is possible. But I would suggest contacting support and they might know a way to do it!
Hi, can I buy your clipart too? I would like to try creating digital downloads too. Is there also another market other than etsy? Thanks, i'm very new at this
I’m kinda scared when we share templates to Canva they could make a copy of it and they might be able to sell my created templates. What are your thoughts about this?
Hi! I personally use Illustrator more than Canva but I do find Canva amazing and I trust the platform. I think any fear we all have as designers from other people taking our work is super common and it's a risk we're all willing to take. Do you use Canva?
Hi Holly, You can add multiple sized designs to a single listing in Corjl by creating those designs and selecting "add designs to listing" under the "listings tab" Take a look here for an image tutorial: help.corjl.com/article/163-how-to-add-multiple-designs-to-a-listing You can also set it up using variations!
Hello! When you create a Manual order on Corjl it is intended for orders outside an integrated platform (like Etsy) so yes, you do not need to upload the file or create a listing on Etsy to send out a manual order on Corjl
Yes, the QuickStart instruction was from Corjl’s seller packet when I joined. They gave me all of those downloads to help with my customers get started with their editing. You can probably contact Corjl’s support to get their download packets if you didn’t receive them
Thank you! You could design the elements in Illustrator and then upload them to Corjl. But if you'd like to use Corjl as an editing software, for customers to change the text, then you would want to create the text in Corjl so that it remains something that can be changed (:
Hi Monica! I personally use Illustrator and Canva to create my instant downloads and I love it! I have played with Corjl and Templett and they're also great :). Just depends on what you want to sell
Thank you Sandra! Good video. I have a question, the images like flowers to put in the templates, they come with corjl o you have to import that kind of images by doing it or buying it? because if you pay corjl, pay the comission of etsy, pay the images (flowers in this case), you have to sell the product an expensive cost... what do you thing? thank you a lot!
Corjl at this time does not come with clipart, you have to buy your own or make your own. They are expenses to keep in mind, and it is an investment, but I do not overprice my items to make up for it. I just keep in mind that I will eventually make the expense back by selling enough products (: good luck!
@@SandraEide It is true, thank you very much for your answer! I like your videos, I like it there because I hadn't done it. I love the information you share, have you done something about the reservation of rights? I have several questions about it ... For example, if we use an image for illustration but it is not ours, or we make use of "clipart" that we buy, should we send the product with a text about the reservation of its rights? It is a video that you could make to contribute to the channel with your great knowledge. Thank you very much again!!!
Sandra Eide thanks sandra, I really appreciate it! Sorry if I bother, I have another question ... Canva comes with cliparts or elements, if I pay Canva a monthly subscription, can I design with them and sell my own designs with their elements? thank you!!!! 🙏🏼
@@lopezmanuel87 yes, that is one thing that makes Canva so awesome. They have partnerships with the artists and it makes the artwork license free when utilizing it through Canva
Hi i was wondering if you could help me? My question is about corjls free fonts specifically. If i were to make an editable template with Corjl to sell on Etsy am i allowed to use Corjls free fonts? Since i am not selling a flattened image will my client legaly be allowed to use the font? And am i legally allowed to use the font in this way? For example i am aware that if i were to purchase a font from say creative market that sometimes the license agreement may say something like "only the licensee may use the font to create a completed end product". This would obviously make this particular font useless for an editable template as my client would not hold the appropriate license and i would also be outside of the terms of use by supplying the font unflattened as part of an incomplete work. I am led to believe that what is required is a "server license" (a normal comercial license is not good enough in this case). So i guess what im asking is do Corjls free fonts come with a server license so that people are free to use them in an unflattned, editable template for resale? I have searched high and low for an answer and have had no luck so i hope you can help me. Thank you for your time
Hello! Our free fonts do have the proper licensing to be used on the platform ( they are allowed to be edited by customers) We also have an additional font package you can subscribe too from Creative Fabrica that has a special license to be used on Corjl. If you have any more questions about fonts feel free to send us an email to support@corjl.com :)
