What happens to the listing if payment is not successful? Does the system send automatic emails about billing issues?

How do you drive visitors to the directory. Do you use paid ads as ranking a directory in search results, even locally, is not quick or easy. Businesses want to see that there is traffic to the directory otherwise they are wasting their money.

I disagree about using a Gmail address, looks amateur and raises a flag for me. Having your own email address is a tiny investment that seperates you from the amateurs. Otherwise some good info here.
