New Subbie here. I am looking forward to seeing your journey and hearing more about life in Italy. My husband and I are preparing now because we want to do something similar in 8 yrs. I really appreciate your down to earth demeanor and detailed process. Keep the videos coming 😊.
Thank you for watching and subscribing. Ours was a more long term plan but things fell into place where we could do it now. Hope our experiences can help you.
We will be doing more videos with actual prices once we are living there. We feel we will be living on very little come to the US. We didn’t want to wait til retire age. I’ve seen to many people wait and then not get to enjoy their life. Thanks for watching and your nice comments. Stay in touch!
@@ellmiller2013 shipping may be expensive. I think you will have to pay tax on stuff you bring. We thought it would be easier to sell and just buy here. You will have to check prices to see if it's worth it to you.
I'm sure it wasn't easy, but I totally believe you guys are beginning an amazing adventure that many people are too afraid to start. Savor the moments, enjoy your caffe and vino! We'll be in Sicily in September scouting things out!
I sincerely hope the best for you both. I wish we were at the point of moving to Sicily now too! It is never easy to make big changes in life but it is definitely worth it in the end. We will be leaving our adult children and our grandkids behind when we start our Sicily adventure too. That's going to be the hardest part. But, they can always come visit! Embrace your journey and live it to the fullest!
@@dianamartin9558 I just discovered your channel. I will have to watch your other videos. I have two questions if you don't mind me asking. First, how are your adult children and extended family members handling this new journey that you are both embarking upon? Lastly, if you could rewind time, would you have downsized years earlier?
@@frenchcountrysidechateau most are excited. My daughter who is expecting another baby isn’t having an easy time with the change. We plan on coming back around the time she is due. We definitely would have downsized sooner if we had known.
You both need to be congratulated on your new adventure, it’s a big move and I am sure you are thinking what have you done, I am not speaking from experience because life always got in our way, but now being too late for us being in our late 70s, I can’t only say well done and enjoy your new adventure it will be fantastic.
