THANK YOU!!!! For people who use X-Live and not X-USB, and you dont see any signal on your channels, make sure to change in Card settings to USB-Interface in Playback!!! (in X32-Edit it's Setup->Card->Playback->USB-Interface)
Yes. I use it at some churches I have did installation on. However, my church... we have the X-Dante card installed on X32 to Audinate USB adapter into our VMIX computer
@@AJaytheCEO I was just thinking of future proofing to run fiber cables to other buildings on campus and connected via network switch to provide audio and video....
The app would only engage the recording to the USB plugged into the X32. You would need to use a software app to record the audio output from the USB into a computer
There are bad and good videos on RU-vid. Your content is excellent, super professional, easy to understand and pleasant to watch! Thanks a lot for your contribution! 🥰
Once the "pair" is assigned, are the ports on the soundboard disabled, or are they still "hot"? We had 15/16 on the Presonus, but never thought to ask the Lead if the physical jacks were still hot.
General question about usb not the mixier. Im think about getting the Big Six Ssl because its analog but ive been seeing people run nothing but usb to sum with it. My question is does audio run thru usb cables and if so doesnt that make it digital summing? I love analog and im from the era of running the audio physically thru mixers channels via TRS Cables etc… Can you explain this for me fam?
Thank you AJay for the video. Very informative. When I go to the download page of Behringer, I get lots of download links. Can you please direct us to specifically which one do we have to download for our PC to recognize the X32 Compact, and which firmware we need to download to upgrade our firmware on X32? I appreciate it.
Please I need your help. We have an x32 at church. I successfully recorded rehearsals with the hope of using the multitrack for virtual soundcheck but in playback it sounds terrible with a cracking sound.. But when I play out thrifty the laptop speakers the recording is very neat and clean. Our mixer has XUSB card and not XLive. Please help, I was also planning to use this method for our live stream and I can't do any of that now due to poor quality.
Need help, I have a X32and sound going to my apple PC and we are using OBS for streaming with 3 PTZ at my church. when I am stream I get a delay from the video and sound about 4/5 seconds. How do I sinc it. Is it on the X32 or OBS etc. Recommendation will be greatly be appreciated.
You need to add a delay in the audio but if you are getting that it is because your mac can't keep up with the encoding of both and the video encoding is lagging behind the audio
OH MY GOSH !!! FINALLY!!!! i finally got the PC sound to be through the USB to card 1-2 to channels 9-10!!! Thank GOD and THANK YOU!!!! watching your video for the twenty-umpteenth time and i FINALLY figured out the part I missed... I didnt change the routing to (USER IN) the last section on Imputs .. now im kinda worried that none of my local rounting will work. when i try to use them,,, .. (XLR CABLES into back of the x-32 from the microphone receivers)... man I hope they will work. I have them set on the User in routing screen with the boxes marked as -- local 1-8 /local 1-8 , local 11-16/local 11/16 , card inputs 1 & 2 / local 9/10.
Hi, what do you recommend for the RAM memory minimum to run the ATEM mini extreme iso, it’s software, Ssd recording, streaming and any other device interface software and cameras to a windows 10 or 11 laptop? I have a new one with only 8 gigs of memory running OS 11. Thanks.
We tried the same setup with our Behringer X32 but we get crackling sounds during audio playback (using USB as shown in this video). We installed the ASIO drivers but "Asio not active" is shown (I guess windows media player doesn't use asio). Any ideas? Using a MacBook everything is fine.
Google Translate Hello, how can I make the sound from the microphone go to the computer so that people sitting remotely can hear people speaking on the microphone?
I suppose that the length of the USB 2.0 cable should be considered when making these types of connections. If it doesn't work initially try a shorter cable. From what I am reading 15 ft should be ok.
It is better to use Aux In Remap as say User In 1-6, and patch that User In 1-2 say would be card 1-2 inputs, this way you still can use 32 physical inputs.
OK, so I am trying to use my MacBook for live stream and for computer music for the auditorium. I got the audio from the soundboard to OBS for live stream, but I cannot get my music from my computer into my soundboard. My MacBook doesn’t show me any options For out one and two or three or four or five or six. And as far as I can find there is no drivers for MacBook. Any help would be much appreciated.
@@AJaytheCEO thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention that the mixbus is already mat max volume, and the individual channels are also at max as well. I can hear something, but not at a normal volume, i think there is something wrong here.
We use an s16 digital snake. There is no "remote" or "Audio" usb 2.0 section but there is a section that just says USB with a USB 2.0 female input. Do you know if I can plug this set up into that?
I have the audio from my Mac going into the X32 and all my levels are good. I can hear it through the headphones, but I don't know how to get it to my SD8 (AES50) to my speakers. I wish you would show the routing on the board and not the app because I don't have an app that will work with my Mac for controlling the board.
What do I have to download from the Behringer website? I’m trying to send the audio to obs so we can get the sound and record our school musical. Obs detects the input but doesn’t pick up the sound
How can I record [audio] to my Samsung S23 onbaord camera with pro video settings from a [speaker] I know I can plug a USB-C mic into my phone. How do I get reference Audio to overlay on video tack via USB-C ?
Thank you so much for this video. I really would like your help to routing my X32. I'm using the X32 with Abelton Live 11. Somehow I'm not getting a signal to Ableton, could you help me to route the Ableton to the X32? Thank you in advance.
Hey A Jay Imma A sound technician and i do live bands and some of the x32's i plug in to with my laptop the PA board doesn't recognize it i'm using Studio 1 5.1 edition do you have any recommendations ...
Hello Ajay, is it possible to record directly to a folder on my windows computer instead of recording to USB Audio Recorder port? As of right now, we are recording to the flash drive and then unplugging it from the board to plug into the computer and extract data/audio. Also, is it possible to record directly to a NAS (network attached storage) that’s on the same network. It’s basically an external hard drive with a network capability. Thanks in advance!
Hello AJ nice video but I'm still having a problem I'm getting sound from computer threw Channel 7&8 have no control over it.The routing must be wrong on something the mic's even when turned down are showing sound in the meters? Can you help with this?Don
I don't understand your question. If it is how do you get audio from the x32 into vmix you set the audio input to the x32 output desired if you follow this video with the software installed
AJay a friend of mine has an M32R at her church. And the issue that she has is that she would like to record on the SD Card while simultaneously sending her Streaming Bus to her computer. OBS wants Ch.1 and Ch.2 as Outputs. Which you have to route from User Outputs to the Card 1-8 as Outputs. Is there a way to Route the Outputs to OBS while still Recording to the SD Card the original Ch.1 and Ch.2 Inputs?
Yes you would just set the recordings to the USB for your desired channels to record and then send the mix to the USB. It would just need to set the USB feed and you should be good
I spent countless hours searching the web trying to get sound out of my daw using the x32. This short video completely solved all of my issues in under 20 minutes. Thank you so much!!!!
wich daw do you use? still have to rout everything thru m air right?, I was thinking doing the same so i can have like 16 different signals just by the usb port to mixing directly in the mixer and learning how to use it in a fastest way.....
Hi AJay, loving your Livestream videos. I followed your instruction for USB to X-32 audio but I am not seeing any signal on the X-32. When I select the Behringer output, then the RU-vid audio disappears. I'm using the X-edit, I am connected to the physical board and all. Not sure if I am missing a step somewhere. Thanks
Thanks for this info. Do you think it would be possible to split the usb coming out of the x32 for two computers? We use one computer for livestream audio sent from the x32 to a Mac for livestream, and I would like to use our other Mac for playing video, audio, etc. inside of pro presenter. So basically one Mac receives audio, the other sends it. Would a switch or splitter work for this? there would be times in which I would think both need to work simultaneously.
@@AJaytheCEO thanks for the fast reply! so I've been trying that for years, with no success getting a noiseless 3.5 to 1/4in or 3.5 to xlr. is there a buzz or hum reducer you would recommend to clean up the audio? Right now I have the card going to one Mac, and using your same idea but with a focus rite 2i2 and using the the usb direct to Mac, and outputs from the focus rite to go into aux inputs on the x32. Its cleaner than before but randomly it can be just as noisy. Not sure if our building needs grounding or what. Just trying to play computer audio that's clean and you dont have to mute immediately afterwards to avoid buzz and hums
This was really useful! My issue is routing the opposite way i'm trying to send my audio from the Mixer to the PC as a microphone input. Not really sure how to set this up. If anyone has a resource or knows how to, do share
You shouldn’t send it as a mic input but you only need to adapt your main out or mix out to the desired output Jack clear, rca or 1/4 in the output section in the routing menu
This video was helpful although I’m using a Mac. I almost returned the X32 rack but kept fooling around with it. I found that I had to synchronize the pc to mixer in the app and I can use all 32 channels. I had to remember when I record to usb I listen to aux 7/8 and when I listen through computer I just deactivate and pic LR or something else.
Struggling on this with my Mac mini M1. The x32 only shows as one X-USB, not individual channels. Any ideas? Also, can you show a screen shot of your Card tab setup? Your vid didn’t show it…
@@smuskal I didn’t make the video, however I found it’s a lot easier on a n IPad. You must route everything from the computer to your card output on the mixer. What ever DAW you use route the output of each channel to the x32.
@@Whyme103interesting. I’ll check via iPad. Spent a bunch of time struggling, so hope this helps. I’m actually interested in going the other way - I.e. route out through the USB to my Mac, but figured coming in from the Mac would be instructive enough to help the reverse. Neither s seems to work for me.
@@smuskal I’m not home to show you, however I will send you a screenshot when I get a chance. Also remember local channels are for live recording ,card output is for sending audio from the computer and the P 1-16 is to record the channel from the mixer back into your DAW.
The response time to my comment sorta blew me away for that just happened to be my first comment made to anyone! I meant no harm at all; it’s just a common issue whether commercials on television or video streaming. Sorry to you if I didn’t explain that more clearly for I appreciate your wisdom of your trade and through you I was able to negotiate setup parameters with my X32! 😊
Hi Ajay, I have a currious question : Can we assign separate audio file for playback to the channel via usb stick in X32? Let say I have click track assign to channel 1 & Out 1 for IEM & Guitar playback assign to channel 2 & Out 2 straight to FOH and so on. Something playback can do without a laptop, like Zoom Livetrak?
The audio from the board over USB matches by the default the XLR Outputs 1-8. You can pick in groups of 2s or all 8 channels. When connected to the computer you will see these as options for your mixer input into the computer
@AJaytheCEO Can you please explain how to do that? For example, I would like to route outputs 8 and 9 from a matrix to the USB card outputs 1 and 2 so that I can put audio into a streaming Zoom meeting. We have audio FROM the PC working fine, but we can not get audio from the board back into the PC.
Hi AJay, thanks for the great video! How would you route the audio if the band was using a DAW with 3 tracks (click and backing track L&R)? I saw that you can either choose 2 outputs or 8 outputs. What if you'd only need 3? Thanks in advance?
Wow thank you! I am coming from using logic pro with a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen for recording and a Yamaha 16 channel digital mixer for live. I have had the X32 Rack for a couple of weeks and it is super intimidating. Trying to get my mac's audio through the X32 via USB had me stumped. After I watched this video a couple of times I finally got it and learned a ton along the way. Really appreciate it.
You've got me all giddy. You make a setting, then you change your mind, then another and another change of mind, so that the viewer doesn't understand anything. To make a tutorial you have to have everything clear in your mind. Better to put everything on paper, make the changes on paper, then record the video "da capo al fine", without mistakes. Is that clear?
