Exactly what I wanted. Found tons of video tying to stream PowerPoint via a camera which didn’t make any sense to me. The method of actual screen sharing in Zoom (via NDS) is exactly what I wanted. Thanks!
This worked perfectly for me. I tried another method I found on a different channel that involved virtual cables and a voice meter solution. It worked but the resolution woudn't' get about 640 and the sound echoed like crazy. I went back searching again and found this solution. Worked way better. I get full 1080 now using the share method and no echo!! I discovered that when I select the "second camera share" but don't press "share" my OBS screen goes out just fine - and without the repeated image in the corner. There may be away to turn that off, I will be checking ZOOM later. But anyway - A BIG THANKS for doing this video!!! As someone else noted Virtual Input is now called Webcam input. I also had to select the start up with windows or it didn't download correctly.

Is there a best way to play sound effects through OBS where both the people watching and I can hear them? Currently running OBS to Free Source Nexus to zoom. Other people can hear my sound effects and mic, but I can't and want to hear sound effects. Currently record through zoom meeting record button. Any help on the best method to do this would be appreciated!
I am a teacher and I want to do a screenshare and record the screen on zoom. the screen recording is(for creating you tube tutorials - I use wacom tablet and one note for the same) but I want the audio and my webcam from obs (because zoom audio is really crappy). Can you please guide me how to do this on windows. Will be thankful. Much love from india

Yes! This is great. I found in streamlabs that they have a virtual webcam output that works well with zoom and discord as well. But obviously NDI is more robust with more options and uses.
Hi, I just found this video after watching how to set up OBS. So, I downloaded NDI tools 5.5. Their video uses a DAW (Abletonlive). I use Reaper. I want to be able to share projects on Reaper on Zoom. I think that if I follow their instructions, I may need to use an additional DAW. Thanks, I've gotten a lot of help from the previous video.

@@aranhawaii Thanks for the reply. My problem is getting the sound of my DAW into Zoom. I can get the sound into OBS using ReaStream plugin, but I haven't figured out how to get the sound to Zoom without latency or feedback.
This is great thank you. It has solved one issue that I have had. A follow up question is this.... I run a church service. If someone from zoom is contributing to the service. I window capture them into OBS then feed OBS into zoom. Is their voice going to echo for everyone else. I am guessing that the person speaking is going to need to mute their sound output as that may feed into the mic. When you are screen sharing anyone who speaks then appears/sound goes direct
Thank you, this was helpful. So I tried using this on a Mac and it appears NDI isn't needed. I was able to share the ATEM output and use OBS recording. I guess your method is meant to use OBS as the sole output for adding media, and more control over the output.
Hello this is a great video! thank you! I just have a question, my video seems fine, but nobody hears the voice i am transmitting from OBS. Is there any setting i need to account to transmit my OBS voice. I am using a usb microphone and would like to have the audio be coming from OBS when i speak. Thanks in advance!
mine doesnt work but there is a camera called "OBS virtual cam" just select and go to obs and click the bottom left when it says "start virtual background" and it's less laggy
@@TAKEYDO and the maker of the video wont even help and i found a better way which was soundpad you download it and then link it to obs so whenever you wanted to play you can play anywhere like zoom meet
Video and Audio out to Teams no problem. If transmitting computer system sound to also play PowerPoint and push audio to Teams, how can I continue to hear both my PC system sounds and the Teams meeting participants, without creating a feedback loop for the participants? If I set to speakers for output from Teams to hear in headphones, then it will push through system audio as well, which dumps back into my outgoing. This is where the AB virtual cables seemed to do the trick. Any advice on adapting this NDI setup to achieve the same result? Do I need to use a combination of NDI and VB cables to do this instead?
Hi sir! Just wanted to say its all connected and stuff, but the problem is.. my desktop audio is not exportant which means audio output and desktop audio are not exportant. Yet, my audio input or my mic is exported. It would be nice if you could help me fix this issue... thanks!
Thanks for letting me feel more confident to get this set up running. Another question: When i can send OBS to Zoom now, is it possible to return Zoom into OBS at the same time? It's because i do have some participants i need to highlight and edit into an OBS scene. So i would need kind of a OBS-Zoom circle. Thanks for your great videos and tips
If you wanna send your OBS output into Zoom as a webcam, but still be able to Window Capture from Zoom to capture other people's cameras, you can send your OBS output in as a virtual webcam: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0ujJZFvyYAc.html
There's a setting in Zoom settings that should allow your preview to not be mirrored... try going into the Zoom camera settings menu and right clicking the preview? Or find a checkbox?
When I D/Led NDI it was version 5 and didn't look anything like you showed in the video. very confusing. none of the the beginning options were offered.

After downloading mine says webcam input and I cant find my computer < OBS when right clicking on the NDI icon. I downloaded the obs x ndi plugin also. Any suggestions on why mine says webcam input not virtual input ? I already have the OBS virtual camera installed also
Nice image choices in OBS that also appear in Zoom but no audio so far. I tried using Zoom audio but that seems to be over-run by OBS which has no audio. I tried various option within OBS to no avail.
When i click on Wencam input, it does show my desktop name, but at right only shown " Remote connection ", couldn't find my obs . How can i solve this please
Hi Aaron and thanks a lot for this video. I installed NDI tools and everything is setting up. But I got a little problem (I am mac real beginner !) cause when I am in Zoom audio settings, NDI Input & Output selected, no sounds come out when I test speaking. I want to record a zoom call, but when I test, I only got the video file recorded from NDI/OBS, but still no sounds. Any Idea? I am sure this is really simple but as I said I am just starting !!

I use OBS to output the feed from a professional camcorder as a webcam (a 3CCD camera has better quality than any webcam), but also short videos or still images. In short, I use OBS Virtual Cam as a player/mixer. But till now I haven't been able to get audio from OBS, therefore I have to use the mic input on the laptop. Does NDI solves my problem, in your opinion?

For some reason the audio quality of video I share on ZOOM sounds like AM radio. I reduced the audio enhancements on ZOOM to minimum, and made sure the NDI audio is at +6, down from +20. I've even tried it at 0dB, all with no significant change. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am being assigned as the cohost of our church OBS Zoom team. I use OBS NDI and Zoom. It is ok for me to share my window capture with Google Slides, audio and video are great. However, I couldn't use my OBS to make any scene adjustment. I believe it is because I am sharing my screen as a cohost, I use Window Capture on my Screen 2 (which is an extended monitor). So Zoom could only receive my Screen 2 Slides. May I ask, how can I fix this? Thank you.
Hi, You're very great at teaching step by step. I have just subscribed. Thank you. I have a question though. How can I get the video back from ZOOM into OBS. when I do that the feed from ZOOM only shows well in OBS preview but giving infinite looping/repeated video when in OBS output.
Is this possible with Cisco Webex?? The only workaround I found is that I select full screen projection in OBS on my second monitor and then share this second screen in Webex?
After installing NDI Tools using this description my Windows Firewall warns me not to use OBS when I open it. This is a new situation, so I am confident it's related to following these steps. Any idea why this would be?

How do I get the OBS audio into zoom too? Does that the screen sharing over 2nd camera or must I enabled in te zoom menu microphone to ndi audio? And what about the settings in zoom itself, must I change something or leave it default?
Awesome dude. I have been trying to troubleshoot bad sound quality and balance issues in zoom for two days now. My audio and various video signals are perfect in obs, on my monitoring headphones, and in the recording. BUT when I would do an audio share in zoom for my gamers - the audio is all out of wack. So if I am hearing you right... this NDI thing sends my "perfect" obs audio output mixes to zoom as is with no other zoom propriety adjustments. If this works I will be forever in your debt! The reason I ask is because this is a professional D&D campaign with monster sounds, bg music, battle music and animations. I need to be able to voice over many of these sounds and be heard cleanly like in the obs recordings that I have painfully adjusted. Some sounds are in obs others are outside obs and being captured with desktop audio in obs. Hope this works. Will let you know. Any other wisdom to help?
Ok I had had about the same audio quality as I did with zoom and sharing audio. Any low bg music (that I need to speak over) is getting cut off or cutting out. It's almost as if zoom had an audio suppressor of sorts. my voice is strong. Sound is weak from zoom. Outside of zoom it is very loud and over powering. But again zoom recording are great. Something is happening on the zoom side I fear. I will try to get the audio clips for you to hear. And yes I am using NDI with both ways presented. the second way definitely gives better video for me. But audio mix is still lacking.
Just tested again. Mix in obs recording and in my headphones is "perfect" but when pushed into zoom - zoom clips low level audio and bg noise and sounds inside obs vs sounds outside of obs (separate program acting as a soundboard) are no longer balanced like in the recording. End result is NDI share the information but Zoom is still giving priority over sound outside of obs (sound board) vs sounds inside of obs and cutting off low and bg effects of both. It there anyway of mocking and sending my life stream composite to them in zoom or is that eactly what NDI is doing. Any suggestions?
If I want to share my OBS with multiple zoom webinars (10) at the same time with your screenshare method, does each webinar host have to have the NDI installed on their computer or can they just used the Zoom advanced screenshare?
I think the problem with web conference tools is that they mess with audio in unpredictable ways. You might be able to set it to use the "original audio" to prevent certain filters from applying automatically?
Hi ARAN, I noticed this video is already 3 years old. I now installed NDI (ver5) NDI 4.5 is long outdated. seems so much easier adding virtual cameras with NDI (ver5) .. but have webcam issues and do not know if that is an OBS issue?? Thanks for the video training.
