Brilliant video, Kevin. I searched the web for how to send recurring emails in Outlook and all I got were third-party apps and macro solutions. Power Automate is free with Office 365 and reminds me of setting up a recurring action in Task Scheduler in Windows. Kudos to you, Kevin and thanks for making my life a lot easier!

I've been using this for a while and I use both Teams (send a message to group chat) and Outlook (send email) notifications. It's a very useful tool...just need get a hang of it.

Yes! You can also insert dynamic text in Power Automate that you can change based on conditions.

Hi Kevin, great video really helpful. Can you help me with another thing. I have to send Probation Month Feedback Reminder Emails to my Team Leads. Is there anyway I can add time and date details in an Excel file from which that data can be picked up? Best thing would be if Subject Title, Email Body and Recipient all are picked from the Excel file and sent on the date and time mentioned in the same row. Please let me know if that is possible. What if you need to change the subject line each month? For example, “Submit expense report for January”, “Submit expense report for February “, etc. But the body of the email is the same

I didn’t show it, but you can also make the entries dynamic, so you could insert the current month as an example.

Would there be a notification sent to you if the email bounced? For example, if this is set up to send an email to an individual each year on their birthday, would receive any type of notification if that email bounced.

If I remember rightly, Power Automate requires you to have a work or school created domain account or something doesn't it? Won't work for a regular person who just wants to do it because they want to do it? I tried to use it to autosave attachments but I couldn't get it to work because the IT department at work refused to give me certain security accesses.

You can use Power Automate with a personal or work/school account. For this video, I used a personal and free Microsoft account. Anyone can use this 👍

if you do this via application, should the application be open to run the flow.

The app is synced online so you need to double check if the scheduled flow is visible on the web. The best way to confirm is to always test it.

I set up an automatic reply, but it only works in Teams. Recipients inside and outside the organization aren't receiving an email reply. However, they can see the message header at the top of the email, which displays the automatic reply message in red. Note: This problem only happens with my custom domain. No rules have been set up, and I sued a private window, but it didn't work. I used another domain, and it worked. What could be the reason, and how can I figure it out?

Is it a work/school account or personal account? With work/school, your admin decides what apps are available to you, which may be why you don’t see the app.
