im trying to work out the best way of getting spider plants to root - i seem to have lots of them so decided to propagate new plants from spiderplant babies, if that's what you call them. i assume its different from splitting spider plants as this is using the spiderplant babies that grow on the stem of the mother plant. so i am learning how to separate small spiderplants and getting them to grow on their own.
i take the spider plant spiderettes and get them to root with water and in soil. so if you are wanting to increase your collection of houseplants for free then check out this video and see how to root spider plant babies, its easy and quite quick. iv had quite a lot of success now on getting spider plants to root.
what is the best way to propagate spider plants you have found ? also what varieties of spider plants as i guess there is lots. i am new to growing plants but i really do enjoy trying to propagate plants and will make more videos on how i get on splitting plants, taking cuttings to grow and from plant babies.
