This was a great video, helped me have a good understanding with these types of trailers. I will be training in specialized hauling now from my previous lugger train job and am so looking forward to this. Thanks for sharing 👌👍💯
Nice work Dave. You sure got a lot of energy to step up and down from the truck so many times. At my job I've got to get in and out from the cab many times too, the difference is I'm on a cabover!!! I'm still here following your videos. All the best brother.
you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Mohammad Mustafa I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Mohammad Mustafa HOLY **** IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I literally got access to my ig password after roughly 40 mins by using the site. Just had to pay 15 bucks but for sure worth it :O Thank you so much you saved my ass !
It is a great video . But overall out of 5 is only 4 points. Previous commenter mentioned abt trailer pin . You didnt show it after hoocking back . This is important to close it first before placing back eye locks ? Isnt it ? Other than that . It is informative and clear to understand . Thanks again !
Nice video. I’m getting into heavy hauling soon and I’d like to have a basic understanding of these RGNs before going into the field. This video helped. Is the dropping and hooking process similar between the different trailers?
BrandonPryorMusic yes, they are all pretty similar. It's time consuming in the beginning, but you will get faster. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel, be safe out there driver.
Company has one where you don’t have to pull and separate from the fifth wheel so much simplistic and faster. Pulled it for the first time this weeks and no doubt if I had your kind I would have messed up some how
?? XL's how to video says to release the safety pin on the side of the trailer b4 rebooking, but wouldn't that bend the pin when the eye or whatever it's called hits it??
awesome man, I might be doing something different my self next, might be going back to flatbed, step deck or might be hauling boats next year, but still looking into thing, are with the same company? wish you nothing but the best dave, stay safe and god bless!
I appreciate it brother. Yes i am still with the same company, still out of the same terminal. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel brother, ne safe out there buddy.
Outdoor Dave very nice, ya I wish CFI would get into flatbed step deck cause I would stay, but then again hauling boats and stiff would be a thrill and very interesting to be a part. hope to see you out here one day. be safe
Jeff Aleman yeah, i heard you hollar at me, i answered back, but didnt here a response. Keep an eye out, next time i will turn around and come back and hang out
Time to get ramps built buddy. How long you been out of PO? I bought me a new rig and step deck in August, best move I made. Was tired of hauling other people's garbage.
You are a patient dude. Thanks. Could maybe drop the truck bags before going under, then start raising them and get them to where they still tip the 5th wheel and lock correctly, but aren't forcing the 5th wheel to lift so high. A description of the "why" of some of the steps that don't have it could add to the video's informative aspect. Not criticizing at all, adding that much detail could be unecessary on one hand. Laters.
Pulling the lock pin for the top deck first can result in severe damage. When you pull forward to release the lifting ears, there is nothing holding the deck on if the pins released. It can fall forward and hit the ground. Incorrect way of disconnecting IMO.
I just started using one of these. Exact same trailer. But i dont release the stinger on the neck until im ready to pull out. After separated make sure you keep it straight, the neck can twist on the 5th wheel then you are gloriously fucked. Don't ask me how i know
It's just like what you do, after you have done it a time or two, you get your own method to it. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel, be safe out there brother.
I hated mechanical RGNs wait till you hit a imperfection in the dirt or a bump and that board pops out oh boy that ain't fun lol specially tracking down a fork lift. I luv my hydraulic neck but I did start with a mechanical
Outdoor Dave been pulling rgn for 30 years, Murray's and cozad mostly. Those hydrostatic don't really work for what we do. But thank you, very informative video.
That’s absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Why would anyone on this planet use this kinda trailer? It makes more sense to use a lowboy with a hydraulic 5th wheel tongue…. Period. I could have loaded a cat D8 dozer on a regular low boy in half the time……smh
