Great video on the basics of getting your outboard ready for the water and conducting maintenance for longer life on the outboard engine.. Teach us more!!!
Μπράβο για το βίντεο σού και για τις ενέργειες συντήρησης. Η honda στο marine από όσο ξέρω δεν είναι τόσο καλά μηχανήματα. Ειδικά στις μηχανές με μικρούς ίππους
Hello, What is the black element left side of the oil filter that can be seen on 4:07, that looks like some sort of a cap? You also have another video servicing anothe Honda BF 20 engine, and that cap is blue in that case, looks like some sort of filter, you didn't change it in this video, but raplaced (or at least disassembled it) on the other one. I'm asking because I also happen to have a Honda BF 20, but without this filter or whatever. Thank you!
You really only need to make oil filters hand tight. There's no need to over-tighten them. I've never needed any kind of oil filter "wrench" to get a filter off (or back on, especially). In fact, the owner's manual on all 4 stroke engines says that.
I always thought it was supposed to be 'finger tight plus a quarter to half turn'. Otherwise, hand tight for Bill Gates is gonna be a lot different than hand tight for Dwayne Johnson..... not that either of those two would ever do an oil change
