What's going on everybody, today i made a quick hot to video on how to setup some LED strip lights on your display case/Detolf shelf. Hope this video helps you out!

These look great. I definitely prefer lighting them from each side instead of just the top so there are not so many shadows cast over the figures. If you want to go the extra mile, you could diffuse the light by placing it in a housing channel/strip. Costs extra but then instead of dots of led lights it looks like a smooth even light surface.

This looks so much brighter and nicer than the common dioder setup that I see in every other video. I am also setting up my detolf lighting this way (today actually). I watched your video right before buying the ustellar lights and making that decision. Thank you for the video!

Picked up a used detolf and it was fairly cheaper. Set up the lighting just like that. Instead i power drilled a clean hole on the bottom corner in the back to run the cord through it and it hides it nicely. Highly recommend giving that a go if you don't mind putting holes through things lol

Man I’m having a pretty wack day. First, I sent Bee Customs a message asking how much a Bardock would be. $350 unless parts are supplied. I mean, I knew it wasn’t cheap, but that kinda hit me in the face. Then, I found a relatively cheap SHF Goku Black on eBay, but it sold out right before I was going to buy it. I suppose I just needed some place to rant about figures lol. Anyway, great vid and ty for showing us that;I always wondered lol

Caleb Fitch that’s the thing with customs they aren’t cheap lol I supplied the figures so it was a lot cheaper for me. Maybe try picking up what figures you need so it’ll be cheaper

I’m sure you’ll find goku Black! Bluefin just got him in so he’s probably popping up in more spots now. Check toyarena.com or toyzinthebox.com even amazon also try toydojo.com I’d say agelessgeeks but he’s out of stock right now even tho he just picked them up. This Goku Black is a hot item and everybody wants it. I think it’s Tamashii nations most popular DB figure

DareDevil 19 Thank you so much for all the tips!! I was able to find a few Goku Blacks on eBay. My week has turned around since then and I got some extra money so I could get SHF SSJ3 Goku and Beerus. I should be getting SSG Goku and Black over the weekend and my custom progress should start in a few weeks.

i install this kind of strip (white) in same curio, but the white led (in my country) have no dimmer, and is to much blinding, i chance for colors led whit dimmer and is very good.

Nice but my issue with your set up is your statues and dioramas are dark. The scene isn’t bright enough to see the statues details. LED miniatures spots would have helped

Was wondering if I can get away with putting a 5m roll only at the front only as you did. Bought the cob led light ones that has some kind of diffuser on it. Recently got the detolf for my azurlane and fate grand order figures and some one piece 😆

How did you stick that strip on glass? the glue used in the strips is not so much strong that can attach to the glass.

I recently brought some of these, with a plastic covering around them, and they heated up majorly and burnt to touch i have a mostly wood on plaster wall display and i really worry the heat would cause a problem, same with being close to small plastic figures. any advice?

This is not the way to do this, you need a cover for the strip light, if not it’s going to look bad the way it looks like on the video.

And also if anyone can answer me this my figures always wobble around whenever I open my detolf glass cabinet is there any way where I can have them more secure because a slight wobble to them and the figures fall over lol

cheap led strip lights are a fire hazard... buy the good ones or risk losing your collection. I almost lost mine from the same mistake... now I'm in the dark again😭
