Great video as always my dude. A few tidbits from myself: 1) Nose to charging handle started with the old A1 sights and got super popular when people started using OG Trijicon Acog. The eye relief is so short you basically had to sniff the charging handle in order to get a full picture. There are a lot of photos from Fallujah where Marines are slumped over A2 stocks, leaning in to get a view through their ACOG. 2) Depending on what height optic you run and rifle length, you might need / want a shorter LOP. Lower optics and shorter guns usually feel better when you knock the stock down a bit (IMO). 3) As I tell everyone and you touched on in the video, Comfort is king. If you feel good with a stock 5 clicks out, awesome. If its perfect for you at 0 click, fantastic. REMEMBER, you are less likely to go shoot if the rifle you are shooting SUCKS to shoot. If you shoot better and more consistent bladed stance, do you boo boo. While a stance might be antiquated to the shooting community...the dudes using it in war DID come back home to tell you about it. What you use to get you on target consistently and reliably IS the best method out there.

Using the nose-to-charging handle technique with those old ACOG especially with a BUIS behind it is understandable since they did have such limited eye relief. The issue that I have with it is moreso with a few people I've seen recommending it across the board even with red dots and modern optics where it isn't necessary anymore. I haven't really ran into any issues even with using lower mounted optics and using the same LOP across the board, but I could see that happening especially on particularly low optics since you'll be naturally leaning forward a bit more anyway.
No, I use mil-spec tubes on all my builds. I'm using Aero Precision "enhanced" mil-spec buffer tubes on both my MR556/416 builds. I don't have a Mil-spec HK416 buffer tube on hand to measure, but you should still have the same amount of adjustment as you would on any other.
I haven't ran into any tilt. The Slim Line stocks I have all fit very nicely on every mil-spec tube I've tried them on, and have virtually no play in them whatsoever.
I thought a good "American" gun video needed beer, bikini's, and 4x4's in them. Guess I was wrong. I don't think it will ever be right for every individual. I've always thought... yea one click in the L. The best you can show people is point at something. That is where a person's natural function and brain is going to go and make them comfortable. That is where their grip should be. Then you can get into different grips and angles to contour it to their body style. Just saying. I wouldn't run my military like that, but as civilians with options...
