In this short video I explain a fast and simple way to find the angle to put in the rosette tiles so they make a circle. This method requires NO math or calculations.
You will need an angle transformer, a compass, a bevel gauge, a ruler, a pencil, and your rosette's tile block (squared)
Draw the outer circumference of the part of your rosette where the tiles will be. Consider that this circumference is a little smaller than the actual outline of the rosette, because of the thickness of the purfling lines. Make sure you also mark the center of the circle
Once you have the outline, place your rosette block on the line and mark its width on the line. Connect these two marks with the center of the circle. You will end with a shape similar to an elongated triangle. Measure the angle on the center point and then divide it by two to find the value to transcribe on each side of your block.
