Tip: 14kg of hemp flex bedding for horses is 14 euro at a farmers store it's perfect for hamster cages, and don't clutter the cage too much they need to be able to run around. And you can find a 2 euro glass candy jar for a sandbox at IKEA and 1 euro magazine box for a platform.

Hemp bedding unfortunately doesn't hold burrows! The cage isn't too cluttered, it's important for them to feel safe as they are prey animals, but they can definitely still walk around easily 😊 IKEA jars are too small for a sand bath, but are great for other substrates!

His sorry if this is rude but I googled this bedding and it said fir (softwood) is not safe for hamsters. I was just wondering if it is safe or not cause I dont trust google most of the time and I’m struggling to afford my hamsters enrichment and bedding so I’m just cutting down until my birthday in 23 days she was chewing through her wood diy cage last night so I’m trying to get as much things as I can get for her at a low price sorry for the long message just got her in January. ❤

It is made from predominantly spruce which is safe, and only a small percentage of fir meaning the phenol level is low enough to be safe for hamsters😊

Hi, for the coconut soil you got, did you freeze it or anything? Because ive heard people say there could be bugs in it.

I got mites from coco soil even after freezing it, I recommend baking it in the oven at a low temperature for about 10 minutes or so.
