I some how got it to where when I hold right click to ADS in MW it aims perfectly 1to1 like as if I was using a mouse but when im in hip fire mode its choppy and theres a half a second delay between all movements

Great content, with Gyro mapped to right stick, does the plot for custom curve for Gyro settings follow similar logic in terms of what the X and y axis mean? So X axis would be how far or intensely you move/tilt the controller and Y axis would be deflection magnitude? Do I have that backwards? Thanks so much!

been using reWASD for month now & my final verdict is that its impossible to have any mouse accuracy . no matter how many response curves I try , no matter how much bars i seek right or left , it always lack the "Steadiness & Acceleration" that real mouse have , Developers need a better Hardware Translation Methodology .. an easy option that Auto-Calibrates a real life mouse movements with the analog (on the go) instead of leaving me (user) to tune & re-tune all their shitty options manually every time ... so furious .
It is important to check in-game settings too. But of course the mouse can't be exactly as a mouse, because it works as a stick, and it a limited control in comparison with the physical mouse. It can't be the same.

We consider the PS4 Remote Play config made by our team 'default' (you have that config once you install reWASD in the Profiles list), but honestly, there is no such thing as default config :) Still, many users start with that exact config, and edit it after. By default Shift layers inherit all the mappings from main layer (the yellow one) What you can do, is the following: 1. Pick a Shift layer (the upper row of colored icons with 1,2,3,4) 2. Set a Shift modifier (the button that will activate this layer) 3. Set it to Toggle (you press the button once, and keyboard and mouse work as keyboard and mouse; press that button once again and you're back to the controller) 4. If you are using the default config, just press L-Win to get your mouse and keyboard back. If you need to stop everything, there is a special shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+Del that turns remap off.

You surely can change reWASD or in-game settings, and make the controller stick more mouse-like, for example using a Default curve in reWASD and raising the sensitivity in game is a way to go. Fast turns may help, yes, I would definitely suggest trying them out, but it's always up to a personal preference. So try them and see if it works for you!
Here are a few more tips: - minimize in-game deadzone values and match [Deflection Low] in [Virtual Gamepad] options in reWASD to the same value (it scales from 0 to 32768, so match accordingly, like for 5% or .05 it would be 32768 * 5% = 32768 * .05 = 1638); - look for balance between in-game camera turn speed and [X/Y Sensitivity] in [Advanced] settings of a mouse, with camera turn speed being as high as possible. - [Default Response curve] is recommended, though that is a part of "personal preference", so you'd be fine with whatever you'll get used to. - [Smoothing] and [Noise filter] are recommended to be at 0, but that is also a "personal preference" thing. Try out different values and see for yourself what feels best.

May I ask how to fix my mouse on my controller disappearing and go back to the middle of my screen everytime I move it or push a button on my controller?
None of the buttons I bind on the mouse is being mapped at all to the controller. I'm testing it in the windows game controller properties window. The keyboard works fine but just the mouse is not functioning at all. They are also grouped together.

Horizontal and vertical movement seem to work fine separately, but moving my mouse diagonally moves my camera either horizontally *or* vertically, not diagonally.
@@reWASD Thanks for replying, but my issue actually seems to just be something that specific game does. The game being Persona 5 Royal (PS4 through Remote Play), the devs pulled some really odd shenanigans for a modern game. They make the analog deadzones *huge*, they disable left stick in menus after the tutorial, and apparently they also make it so the camera doesn't really do diagonals very well even with an actual Dualshock 4. Luckily there's not really a lot of reason to look up or down in that particular game, so I'm just gonna put up with it because it seems like too much trouble to try to work around the game's native behavior. I used reWASD with Spider-Man PS4 through Remote Play and everything works great! Very happy with your software so far.
Can you put out a tutorial on mapping it for the left stick? Also is there a way to make it to where it doesn’t bounce back to the center? I use this for a baseball game and it’s still very hard to hit the ball.
Hi. This is done the same way as with the right stick; only you need to select the Left Stick instead of the right. To prevent the stick from returning to the center, you need to activate Radial menu mode by going to Advanced Mouse settings. I was having an issue where, with the mouse set as right stick, when I used the pause menu and the cursor appeared, the cursor would reset to the middle of the screen just a few milliseconds after I stopped moving it or wasn't moving it fast enough. I fixed it by turning the noise filter completely off. Didn't experience any negative side effects in game

Hi, I just realized (after 2 days of configurations and tutorials and whatnot) that I need a 2.0 USB Hub in order for remote play to work from Keyboard to my PS5. Do you maybe have a list of compatible USB 2.0 hubs for this scenario (to play PS5 games on keyboard via Remote Play / reWASD)? Or would any hub work? Also, I don't see any PS5 related tutorials on the website. Does it work with PS5? Or only PS4?
Hello, to turn remap off completely, press Ctrl+Alt+Del. When you remap the mouse, reWASD gives you a warning that 'to get your mouse back, use %a Shift modifier key%'. You must have one in the config you have applied, make sure to use it.
Thank you, I have wasted over $200 replacing my dualsense controllers after they get stick drift. Don't think I"ll be using controllers anymore now. It would be really nice if you could trim the fat in these videos. If you were to just go over the salient information, your videos about this topic could probably be half as long (ie just get to the point).
I tried to set my DualSense‘s right stick to my mouse for Warzone 2.0 but when i release aim down sight and want to my a 180 degree turn to escape it slows significantly down. Do you know how to fix this? Also the aiming settings are either to slow or too fast when i change in game settings in Warzone.

It's important to understand, that sticks do not work as the mouse does. To turn the character from side to side quickly, you need to hold the stick for some time at the maximum point of deflection. Which, in case of mapping the stick to physical mouse, is equal to slowly, but consistently, moving it in a certain direction. This video describes all the possible options that will improve the behavior of the virtual stick.
Make sure your mouse is remapped to a right stick and using same sensitivity setting for both X and Y axes. The option is available in advanced mouse settings: help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/advanced-mouse-settings.html

When remap is ON, you move the mouse, and reWASD gives out input to the system. Then the in-game settings process it, applying in-game settings to what reWASD has given. So it's more like one impacts another. According to what I found on reddit, this happens when the game detects controllers (both physical, and virtual). So I'm not sure what can be done at this point, except for the game developer to look into this. Could you describe what exactly is slow, camera moves? Or your moves when you try to move the character with WASD \ Left Stick?

I am using this on mouse keyboard for very long time but i start notice window mouse sensitivity is really messing while playing game. i hope you can fix this problem in future.
@@reWASD if I OPEN window mouse properties then pointer option there is select a option pointer speed if I slowe all over. in game my mouse response very good and accurate. But if point speed is not fully slow down its mess most of time when i quickly move mouse most of time while at ADS in call of duty warzone.
@@gondaljutt7059 First, you have to figure out who is making that acceleration. If it is a mouse, disabling the "Accurate positioning of a pointer" in Windows Mouse settings should suffice. If the acceleration is applied by the game for the controller stick, then you should check related options in the game. reWASD does not have any options related to the mouse acceleration when it is remapped to a stick.
Hi there! To turn remap off, press Ctrl+Alt+Del combo on your keyboard (this works if you're struggling with getting your mouse back). If you can move the cursor and press Left mouse button, it's better to click Remap is ON in reWASD, and turn it off like that.

This functionality requires Advanced mapping feature and basic license as a must. You can check it in trial mode (the feature has 3-day trial period). If your trial is active, but you can't move your mouse still, it may be a chance that something is wrong with device initialization. @@reWASD Shouldn't this work just by importing config profiles for specific games? Or is there an additional option that I missed? It appears that the profile does activate, but it's not recognized by remote play as a controller, or as a keyboard after activating it via reWASD for that matter (which is recognized via remote play pre activating the reWASD profile). I mean "out of the box", if I select a game from the left side of the screen (or import one) shouldn't it work the same (with less fine tuning of course)? So just by merging the keyboard and mouse, selecting a profile and adding it to the keyboard and mouse, opening remote play then activating the profile in reWASD, shouldn''t this work? I could take care of the fine tuning afterwards, of course, but I just wanted to make sure it works at all, but it doesn't appear to work, at least not for me.
Can reWASD be used to fix circularity issues? For example, I use Steam Controller Configurations (with my Razer Wolverine Ultimate v1 controller) in order to emulate mouse movement on my RS with a custom input response curve in Steam's Configurator, but this creates a huge issue: With any custom input curve, aiming diagonally is extremely slow and sluggish. Is it possible to use reWASD to make only diagonal movement much faster? And would this fix work alongside my Steam configurations that use a custom response curve with joystick mouse emulation?
Hi there! Hm, I'm not sure if this is possible out-of-the-box. At least we don't have an option to modify the intensity of diagonal mouse moves. Maybe it has to do something with the mouse emulation? reWASD has a 7-day free trial, and if possible, could you try to remap right stick to mouse, set the curve you wish to use, and check if it's any different in comparison to Steam input?
@@reWASD From what I could tell, the issue seems to happen because the input is filtered through the input curve twice, once vertically and once horizontally, meaning Steam unintentionally made the given exponent(s) of the input curve apply twice on a diagonal movement. So, theoretically, it should just be a bug with Steam's configurator, but that's my concern: In reWASD, if you set a controller's stick to emulate mouse movement with a custom input curve (any graph that's not linear), what I mainly want to know is: Do diagonal stick movements (say, moving the stick up+right instead of only up or only right) reach the same minimum/maximum input as fast as moving the stick in only 1 direction? Or, better yet, would it be possible to use reWASD to change how fast input is registered (custom input curve) but only for diagonal stick movement? (This would be nice because it would allow me to continue using my Steam settings for input filtering because I upload my Steam controller configurations to the Steam community)
@@realchiknuggets We would recommend using one remapper / input modifier, that's in relation to using both Steam input and reWASD. Makes sense that the curves would be mixed, and probably even three curved are in action. Could you describe your question in more detail? When emulating a virtual right stick on a physical mouse, there should be no problems with the diagonals.
@@reWASD my mouse doesn't move in diagonal movement. If I drag it down or up diagonally the movement goes down to the left, down to the left . If I could draw my movement the line would look like a stairs and not straight diagonal line. Not sure what causing it to move like that

For the Azeron keypad, can I map it to have 360 analog thumbstick movement but also use the mouse in Call of Duty MW/Warzone? Will the game recognize that as controller or KB/M?
Hey there! The thing about COD games, as far as I remember, is that they allow only one type of input [keyboard and mouse] or [controller]. And even though it's possible with reWASD to set everything up like you described, I'm afraid it won't work in-game :( There's another workaround: you can group mouse and Azeron, then add controller binds to Azeron, and to mouse. E.g. turn mouse to the right stick. Change the settings for mouse moves, and Apply the created config. This way COD will detect only one controller, and there must be no issues with this set-up. Except for the struggle of setting mouse sensitivity up to your preference.

Hello. I recently tried to use reWASD on The Ascend because the damn doesn't suppord k/m on coach coop lol. Well while the controls are ok I have an issue with the mouse that I have assigned as right stick. My issue is that the movement is fast and it seems to lock on 16 specific direction. I will try to describe with basic orientation. So it goes N, NNE, NE, NEE, E, SEE, SE, SSE, S, SSW, SW, SWW, W, NWW, NW, NNW. I hope you guys understand what I am saying. So there are 16 specific directions to aim. No inbetween which ofcourse make is difficult to aim and the aim movement is unatural. I suppose this is a matter of configuration. Any suggestions? First, please check the in-game settings. Pay attention to the stick settings for the camera. You should minimize the deadzone there + it is better to tune the sensitivity a bit, increase it.

@@mysticx6226 Regarding the Valorant, for some reason the game starts taking the input from the mouse detected 1st during the launch. We will try to find a workaround, but for now, just please don't move the physical mouse once the game starts, so only the remapped controller will be detected as a main mouse input device.

If you want to remap a stick to mouse and have it hold down a mouse button on any deflection, remap the [High zone Mapping] to that mouse button and stretch it to whole axis zone. Check this article for details: help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/sticks-and-trigger-zones.html

@@reWASDOMG thank you for your response! God Of War PC version doesn't have Toggle keybinds for "Walk slowly /normal walk" this game is so beautiful it's a shame PC players cannot do a normal walk. So we need that. And I was hoping to play this game as a hybrid controller setup (Mouse x Joystick) But whenever I move the mouse, the input always cuts / stutters because maybe it is detected as switching the input. I used to play the Metro series with this setup because it added immersion, to be able to walk slowly, with a joystick feature, enjoying the environment, stalking and still having better accuracy with the mouse.

Hey there! Nope, no need for that, you can configure the additional layout with reWASD (a layout where mouse and keyboard work natively), and toggle it on-off. Here are the options: help.rewasd.com/faq/unmappedmouse.html I'd recommend Shift Mode. By default Shift layers inherit all the mappings from main layer (the yellow one) What you can do, is the following: 1. Pick a Shift layer (the upper row of colored icons with 1,2,3,4) 2. Set a Shift modifier (the button that will activate this layer) 3. Set it to Toggle (you press the button once, and keyboard and mouse work as keyboard and mouse; press that button once again and you're back to the controller) 4. Then remove all the unmaps and choose Do not inherit for all the binds (the easiest way to do so is to press "Delete" icon at the right for each key in the list) This way is better because the controller does not disappear from the system (it disappears if you click Ctrl+Alt+Del) Here's an example: recordit.co/2JIscs1GOa

At the moment, our app doesn't support any flight sticks, but we do plan to make them work in the future releases - I am afraid there is no ETA at the moment. If the device has X-Input mode, reWASD should be able to detect it as an Xbox gamepad - so you can adjust at least the main controls. Hope it could be a temporary solution. It's not. reWASD is a software you can install on PC, and use whether on the local PC, or take a GIMX \ Bluetooth adapter and use it on PS4 console, or on any device that supports gamepads and has Bluetooth.

Does this software work if a mouse has a built in analog stick? I just got a mouse with a analog stick on it and idk if it's possible to configure the analog stick to turn the camera for you in game.

We can remap basic mouse movements to Left or Right stick, and if your mouse has an Analog Stick on the side, which is reported to the system as a controller, we may be able to remap it too. But in general, when you open reWASD and see your mouse, there won't be a stick on it to remap :) What I would suggest as for now, reWASD has a two-week trial, you can install it and check on how your mouse is reported. reWASD has all supported and remappable devices shown in the lower-left corner, and if you see your mouse and a controller device separately, you can group them and then try to remap the stick. What mouse are you using, also?
@@reWASD it is a mouse called zelotes, and I believe it doesn't register as a controller. I check on steam if it registers as a controller it sadly doesn't. Thank you anyways

I have been trying to get the gyro aiming right and it really seems off to me. It doesn't seem to work the same as Gyro aiming on Steam Controller or on the Switch. It's not 1 to 1. It's hard to explain but it feels way off. I have watched the video previously released about 20 times but it isn't helping. Can y'all make a more in depth guide on how to get it working properly or are y'all still working on Gyro to get it right? Love everything else about the software btw.

That's because it would be more effective to change the sensitivity and test how it performs in-game, where you intend to use it :)

So I’ve been up all night learning what I can and playing with it. Just started trying to figure out how to sync it to my game when I realized something, I mapped my controller with a keyboard and mouse layout. Will that still work? I’d like to be about to put my controller down and use keyboard and mouse to. If so what about mix and matching like some keyboard inputs and some Xbox controller inputs?
@@SkrapSF83 That would totally depend on how the game works with mixed inputs, I am not sure I know enough about Star Citizen in particular to tell right away whether the game will accept double input. If you decide to stick to one input though, let's say keyboard and mouse, you can Mute the controller input from your gamepad: click on the Magic wand icon and choose Mute all option. This way reWASD will only send mouse and keyboard inputs mapped to your controller, and you should be able to switch between the remapped controller and mouse and keyboard freely. At the same time, if you decide to use the controller input, keyboard and mouse can be remapped to virtual controller too. To make all the setup appear as one virtual controller, you'd need to group the gamepad, mouse and keyboard in reWASD, then assign the controller mapping to keyboard and mouse, and Apply the config :)

if I unmap my mouse when I move it around I can move it in-game but I can't actually move the mouse to do other stuff in-game is there a solution besides turning unmap off
We have several suggestions on how to deal with unmapped mouse right here: help.rewasd.com/faq/unmappedmouse.html One of the best things you can do is use Shift mode: remap doesn't turn off when you use the Toggle Shidt layer, so the game doesn't 'lose' the virtual controller. But you can use a mouse normally in that case. However, some games may ignore the mouse and keyboard, if they're locked to the controller input. I'm afraid, COD is one of those.
I wanted to give this program a go... but why in the world do I need to restart my pc in order to make it work???? I seriously find hard to trust 3rd party programs that ask for that... cos if I need to restart chances are that it needs to mess with something on my OS which is kinda of a red flag to me but hey maybe u can explain urself so I give u the benefit of the doubt until then. However everybody should be aware that no 3rd party program should ask u to do that, if they do most of the time is cos they want to put something that will be running on ur background all the time either stealing or collecting hardware info for resell or whatever... (and take it off could be a real pain as it will always start with ur system) not saying is the case here but hey everybody should be aware. Program seems really cool! @@reWASD I mean after the changes u do...... How the controller will work when u map the right stick to the mouse that u have changed its sensitivity and curves .... the demo shows mouse motion and controller motion which has bad motion ....

Either one of them is enough. What exactly would a hypothetical collaboration of our team and Wooting team bring? Maybe you have some ideas in particular?
