I know this video is years old lol. Do you have any updates on these tanks using eco complete i feel like its hard to find any info with this product regarding cherry shrimp. I run into random people in forums saying dont use it followed by people who say they use it in all their tanks... Also have heard mix things about root tabs with shrimp and causing problems.
Hey TapeY! To begin with, that's fine. The bioload of Neocaridina is so insignificant, it should be okay for a while with a large amount of plants. Depending on if there are any other inhabitants (snails included), you may want to eventually get one. You can pick up a small one for around $5-8 on Amazon. Sponge filters are just so beneficial not only for housing bacteria and helping with the cycle, but also for grazing grounds. Your shrimp and shrimplets will be all over the sponges constantly feeding!
