Ah, thank you for this! In a local forest, they had been cutting down trees. It happened I found an injured legless lizard, that i believe could be blind, and has a few puncture marks on him. I had no idea how to set up an enclosure, so thanks for this!

1st off let me tell you that I love your channel you do an awesome job with explaining things in detail so your topics your covering are extremely easy to understand and follow so nice job...2nd I have a question regarding substright. ..if you use Reptichip have you ever experienced a huge out break and infestation of gnats with that product?? I watched another channel and he had a huge problem and many others commented on his video stating they too also had the same problem...I'm going to be adding my 1st ever ball python to the house and am concerned with that issue because I was planning on using Reptichip when I move out of the plastic tub I'll be starting the snake out in and moving him/her over into the 4x2x2 pvc enclosure...now I'm not sure on what substright to use so any input and or advice from your self on the issue would be very much appreciated...Also the size of the tub I'll be starting out using is 24" L x 18" W x 7" H is that an okay size to start out with and of course the tub is a locking tub with locks on all 4 sides..

I'd agree that no you don't need to give royals or Boas uvb as they have the oral pathway to utilise d3. But I disagree with the use of radient heat panels, as they are only really good for ambient air temperature as infra red C rather than a basking infra red A source that penetrates deep into the muscle tissue.

I have a 75 gallon tank with a mesh screen cover what would be the best method of heating?

My goal for this year was to get a banana combo morph but on New Years I changed my mind, I’m going bioactive with my current snakes first. We are not increasing our numbers until we have improved the enclosures of what we have. We do have 3 ft wooden vivariums, set up naturalistically currently but I think we can do better! It’s exciting to think of how it could look when it’s set up and then changes over time! Great video, this is something we need to start looking into for the hobby more.

So I am planning on getting a baby Boa Constrictor again. I’ve owned one in the past but I can’t decide what would be the best budget friendly enclosure to buy and how to avoid having to purchase bigger and bigger encloses as he or she grows. The last time I did it I started off with a 20g aquarium and then moved up to a 55 but it was far from ideal and I don’t plan on owning more then one or 2 snakes in the near future. What would you recommend as a good starter enclose that I can use semi long term? I was thinking of picking up another large aquarium and just sectioning it off for now although I know aquariums are not ideal, I always kept a repti carpet on top and misted daily but still not ideal.

Hello, I’m watching a few videos because I’ve been thinking about adopting a blue tongue skink from a pet store ( employees who work there say he’s been living with them for over a year) and I don’t have a PVC tank for the money for one, but I’ve been trying to get a glass lid for my current 3 1/2’ by 1 1/2’ x 2’ tank which was originally used for RES turtle the turtle is now been transferred to a bigger tank and now I am hoping to use it to adopt the skink but after watching your videos, I realize getting a PVC is vital (I’m droning) point is where do you get a PVC used and what would be a good way to keep humidity in a glass tank with a mesh top?

I’m new to the snake game. I got myself a super awesome yellow belly named Severus. I bought a starter pack style aquarium thing. It came with a heat lamp and heat mat. On the heat mat side of the aquarium I can keep it around 80-82 and heat lamp side 89-92. I was just told by a friend heat lamps are bad for snakes? I don’t see how I could regulate his temp without the lamp. Please help lol

personally, I don´t think anyone should have more animals than they have room for, and by that, I don't mean shoeboxes in a rack system. My BPs are getting W1500mm x D800mm x H700mm enclosures that they can grow old in. My western hognoses are getting W1000mm x D700mm x H700mm enclosures. And they all going to be bioactive ofc. I think we owe our animals to give them as good a life as we possibly can and in this "hobby" many are getting waaay more animals than they can care properly for. I get why one would use racks for breeding so the babies are in there for a short term, but many people keep adults in those racks and it is shitty (IMO)!
