How we installed our off-grid solar fridge
After OurLand already uses solar energy for lighting, we have now gone one step further: Thanks to the help of students from ICS Bangkok, we have installed a refrigerator that is completely powered by solar energy. This allows OurLand to store fruits and vegetables sourced from a nearby farm for much longer. That helps us to save travel costs, to reduce our carbon footprint, to increase OurLand's sustainability and, very important, from now on we will always have fresh stuff in our fridge to provide our guests with delicious local food!
The students from ICS Bangkok joined us for two days as part of our educational program. Before that, an online workshop with OurLand had already taken place, where we worked together on the installation of the solar system. A big thank you to the students of ICS Bangkok!
