The Akimbo by Rock Exotica is a beautiful tool for SRS. When adjusted properly it makes for fluid ascent and descent. But it's temperamental and it helps to know a few tricks for set up and use. We cover some tips on installing the Akimbo on your climb line and adjusting the bollards for safe and efficient climbing.
Note: We are using an 11-mm Yale Phantom rope in this video. This rope is not approved for use with the Akimbo, it's just the rope we had at the moment. We get that; please hold your criticisms.
