Additionally, if you are under 13 you can only join or create a Shared Library with members of your Family Sharing group. We're happy to provide some information. Anything that's stored on a device and synced through iCloud will take up some amount of space in both places. To reduce the amount of device storage, make sure that Optimize [device] Storage is turned on under Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos. We’ll be happy to help. iCloud Shared Photo Library is more of a collaborative feature with up to 5 people. Your Photos also move out of your Personal Library and into the Shared Library. You can read more about Shared albums here: s.apple.com/dE4q2r6x2n “Shared Albums let you share photos and videos with just the people you choose - and they can add their own photos, videos, and comments.” A Shared Album also has a 5000 photo and video limit.
