You want to swap the magazine on the silent sniper to VARL-E CRIT ROUNDS, which adds more damage to the crit. Base damage can be neglected if you aim on high crit builds.
Jade is insane at popping skulls without combat and I love her for that, but Elvis is a powerhouse with Miasma and status! He's nigh on unstoppable once he gets going! - SongsOfRaze
@@BabbleOn just got Elvis a silent rifle, pretty happy that now I got two powerhouse woop! I also give Diggs all the tank stats so the team has someone to tank the hit 😅
@@MrJoeyChang Might sound crazy, but I'm loving my Elvis with a shotgun...got a video in the works to explain why so keep your eyes peeled! ;) - SongsOfRaze
Jade is a MVP but Elvis IS the star, she'd be second in command, hugs abilities are top notch & only one character is great like him as far as abilities go(haven't gotten the last companion yet) but the one that joins after Jade is powerful
You can also swap her silent sniper rifle to others to help build up their Rage, entering a boss or 'big nasty' fight with your entire party Enraged is handy.
Jade gets even better once you unlock the silenced assault rifle and Elvis's shock glove ability. Both are silent and lets you take care of targets that have just enough health that Jade can't one shot. Often Jade will injure someone and Elvis finishes it off with the silenced rifle. For the bigger targets I can sometimes kill them in one turn. Jade shoots, I'll give the silenced rifle to Diggs and I'll have Elvis use the shock glove. If the target is a robot it's even better because the shock glove stuns it. Preventing them from alerting anyone. Allowing you for a 2nd round of shooting.
Jade needs to be at a higher level to get consitent crits in ambush because her +crit passives are spread between two skill trees. In order to unlock every crit skill on Jade you need to be level 15. Elvis however is far more consitent at early levels with "hunter" and "sidewinder", getting 85 % crit-chance at level 8. Just swap perks during exploration if you need his glove skill. Jade´s and Elvis´s ambush crit break even at level 11 from high ground / level 12 from normal elevation.
I can never really use high ground though as the enemies are always gathering with a high ground is so before I even get to it they will see me and if I use all my glass bottles to lower them away and kill them one by one there's no point of me even going to high ground because they will be dead already, very few times I actually use high ground, it's to the point where I just look around for stragglers take them out and start up a good ambush I don't even look for high ground anymore
About weapon mods, if you have two Saplings, you can give +1 ammo mod, getting AP on Crit Kill and shooting the second enemy right after, Double Silent Kill, without throwing a Bottle.
Crit chance is NOT a special ability, it's just a plain old boring statistic. Can someone tell me does this game have more or less special abilities than MYZ w/Bad Seed? MYZ BARELY held my attention I need a high # of actual special abilities, not stat bonuses.
I got one of the companions, they're good but I don't want to take out Jade, she's the stealth killer & makes things easier, such a disappointment that you can't just have a party of 5, You're only going to have a total of five people anyway included two that are mandatory that you cannot take out or switch which is ridiculous forcing you to have to choose between Jade or the other two that you get later on which wouldn't be an issue if they just let them join your party to begin with as far as increase the party size I mean
Cooldowns sucks for this game! So like even if I decide to return to base, take a rest, and then go to new location, I still have to suffer thru 5 turns of combat for a particular ability to reset? That makes no sense in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah I know what you mean, would be nice to have some sort of countdown outside of combat, but to be fair I can see why they went for it. Jade would decimate a battlefield by herself in silence without that to keep her in check! Just got her turret ability and I love it =) that definitely NEEDS the cooldown haha - SongsOfRaze
You'll be pleased to know the Devs are looking at cooldowns, seems the community spoke and they listened about it 🙂 should see an update soon - SongsOfRaze
@@BabbleOnthey need to look at party size for they're next game, a party of 5 IN COMBAT when your up against 15 isn't gonna make things "unbalanced" it's just another excuse for being lazy🤷🏿♂️
If you're doing a silent killer ambush guide, there's no reason to take stats perks (upper tree). Rather take all from right, or below which increases damage and crit chance.
You do know you'll have to actually fight in battle right So that's why you take it as you level up you can then put other points in that category, The extra health comes in handy and the movement as well I'm level 16 and been saved due to the extra HP because of the HP perk
Does having multiple silent guns ensure that you dont enter combat if jade cant 1 shot an enemy but another teammate with a silent gun can deal the killing blow?
It definitely can! I've personally only seen a 2nd silent gun, which is an AR, but if you give that to a second character and can get the kill off before they alert the rest of the squad, you will stay in stealth/ambush mode to take more targets out - SongsOfRaze
It''s possible. Give the silent Assault Rifle to a second char, add a mag which raises the base damage, bcs you wont get enough reliable crit. The silent AR does 70 base, with mag it can do 80 or 90 dmg. So it's possible to deal 180 - 240 (silent sniper+silent AR) dmg dpeending on your magazines installed. Elvis has a silent skill for 80 dmg but on a 5 turn cooldown. So it'S even possible to deal 260 - 320 with 3 chars. Keep in mind, only the first attacker of your ambush gets ambush bonus. After the first shot, the enemy is aware and cant get ambushed anymore
When you finally get the silent assault rifle, being able to deck all 3 of your characters out in silent gear is so nice. Jade silent sniping for 130+ damage Elvis silent gloving for 90 damage Diggs silent assault rifle for 80-100+ damage The ultimate hunter squad! :D
That's basically how I went around most of the times. I just wish there was the option of a third silent weapon to give to Elvis, so he could use either that one or the glove according to the scenario. For example I would love to be able to use the armor eating shot with Elvis without Diggs becoming complete dead weight during stealth ambushes.
In hind sight completely agree, but at the time of the video I hadn't got to the later parts in the game. Think I'll do something like that next time I have a game like this, an early guide and an endgame one looking how they fit in the team and synergies etc - SongsOfRaze
She shouldn't, that does sound a bit odd to me! Is it just a case when you break stealth that's all you have, or is that all combat? As her weapon only has the 1 round before needing to reload - SongsOfRaze
There are many other ways of using the tools Jade's weapon offers you to take down enemies! Remember, that you can freely swap skill points, weapons, and weapon mods between every character, and this can lead to some unconventional kills!
If playing on Challenging or Alpha Editor, there will be many enemies with 130 hp instead of 110 hp. Using the Varl-E Crit Rounds (+20 crit damage) weapon mod can help one-shot these enemies when you have a guaranteed crit lined up. Varl-E Dmg Rounds (+10 dmg) for Saplings (and future enemies), and literally any other mod (+5 rage or +5 KW for instance) if you only require 70 dmg.
Elvis' Glove Shock ability can also make non-guaranteed crit kills much safer by securing the kill if the shot doesn't crit (if you don't want to exploit the game by save scumming).
I'm weirdly looking forward to trying it out and also not looking forward to it haha 🤣 But need a run through first to understand the mechanics properly and then do that difficulty - SongsOfRaze
