I've always despised composing in Pro Tools, but certain instances have forced me to stay in one DAW, as opposed to quitting PT and entering my composing DAW of choice, Logic. This was ridiculously helpful and I'm more pressed to stay in PT when I'm working an audio project that requires music cues. Thank you very much!
Johannes, this video has been such a big help to me as I try to get Kontakt working with multiple instruments. I was able to follow along and replicate everything and have it running, and have everything setup in Presets so it is not much work next time. I appreciate it very much.
I had an issue where outputs other than st. 1 were not displaying as audio routing options. It seems that one of the steps in this video (9:27) solved my issue: saving the output routing as default in Kontakt, then deleting the instrument and re-instantiating it.
Do you know how to get Kontakt to show up as an Instrument in ProTools for Mac 11.6? I installed Native Instruments and downloaded Kontact Factory Selection, but it does not appear on a new Stereo Instrument track.
You probably need to install Kontakt in addition to the Factory Selection. It should show up as a separate item in Native Access. Maybe worth checking the AAX plugin folder as well
Some simple things to check: make sure you're inserting on a stereo instrument track. Beyond that, make sure Kontakt is correctly installed (it should appear as its own item in Native Access) and make sure the AAX plugin is in the Pro Tools plugin folder
