I wish Toyota would upgrade these vehicles with the following: 1) Replace the CD/DVD player with two wireless charging pads. (Families have more than one phone these days.) 2) Upgrade the crap media screens - and the ones in the back could be tablet holders with a charge ports instead. (Most kids have access to tablets, and let’s face it, the current screens were outdated before the car got released.) 3) Add a high speed 5G modem and wifi network to the vehicle. (People could add their own sim and data plan, and the mobile reception could even benefit from the vehicles arial.) 4) Implement “WIRELESS” Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. ($140,000 and you still need a cable - please)
How cool is that - I've been messing around with trying to get miracast working but I'll buy one of these or maybe use a firestick. I'd never have thought of this. Cheers.
Hi great video, did you ever try the same process with a 200 series, I have tried but there seems to be an issue with screen resolution where the Google Chromecast with Google tv suggests that it doesn't support the resolution of the screens and doesn't allow you to select the correct resolution on the Google device. Any Ideas?
What a brilliant video.. I am about to receive my car and was looking up for solutions for the back screen and here I see this video. One question. I have an older chromecast. I could use that one without the remote control? Using touchscreen
hey mate having some trouble trying to connect my Bluetooth headphones, our 2022 Sahara didn't come with any. Toyota dealership said I can just use normal headphones but I have read through the whole multimedia book and can not find any way to connect headphones. would you know how?
Toyota really taking the piss with this ancient system. My kids prefer my wife’s Kia Carnival to my 300 Sahara. For 150k I’m pretty shocked it’s this hard to watch content and not have independent screen content left/right and not annoy the rest of the car and not be able to chose audio for either left or right screen and forced to have an ugly HDMI plug hanging out.
