How to Set up Spinners for Salmon Fishing

I have the same set up for freshwater salmon. 8'6" ugly stik with a pflueger president spinning reel. I use 300 yards of sufix 832 braid in ghost with 20lb maxima leader. Awesome setup for chucking hardware and jigs!

1/2oz fishgrub spinners work awesome for this also, he has some good colors for WA fishing candy purple and raspberry are good.

can you not add a egg weight above the swivel to give the spinners more weight for casting????

Hey man, I've got 2 questions for you. First, I've been looking for Ugly Stik rods and cannot find any Ugly Stik spinning rod in the 9.5' length you said you have. I can only find 9' and 10' Ugly Stik spinning models. Can you tell us what the actual model number on it is? The two closest ones I've found (that are up to 20 lb line...straight off of Ugly Stik's web site) are models USSP902M and USESSP902MH. Second question, what kind of camera are you using? Looking to get a camera of my own for fishing. I like the video quality, but the audio is a little muffled, at least in this video (could just be the breeze out there too?)...are you using a certain GoPro and the built in mic or something external?

There are some kings around right now, but not many. Great tides starting this coming Wednesday should bring more fish to the jetty. Kings and silvers.

Would the 35 size of that reel work for Salmon?
