The only video that CORRECTLY informs how to attach the flex shaft. The manual is incorrect and no other video mentions you need to install a collet into the machine end. Thank you so much
Joel, thank you so much for this video. I know you made it 6 years ago but I’m just now learning how to use one of these. Your instructions were so simple. Thank you so much for sharing!
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial! You're a brilliant teacher! It was so well thought out and worded that I can now use both drill and flex shaft that I bought 2 years ago!
Last week I bought a rotatory tool like that, to be sincere, I didn't know how yo use it, but now thanks to your tuto, I know it, saludos cordiales desde México, gracias
D McKenzie Your demonstration of the rotary tool is by far the best that I have seen on RU-vid. You are the only one that showed a beginner how to take the accessories a loose and make changes if need be. I was hung-up because I did not know about the collet. Thanks for your clear explanation on how to make this tool work.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I've had a rotary tool for quite some time and have had many issues. You have cleared them all, in just one video! Simply amazing.
@@FireMountainGems Absolutely helpful. I didn't see the wrench that came with my tool. Put the cutting wheel on and almost died haha. Thanks! Life saving
Omg this guy saved my life... I'm new wth rotary tools and didn't notice you can take off the tip of the dremel, I thought the hole was too small and was about to return it, no wonder why it didn't fit
thank you so much for showing how to put the accessories into the collet and telling me they come in different sizes which is determined by the various tools used.....
Thanks so much ! I purchased my Black and Decker from a resale store . It was new but missing instructions. I used it several times just guessing and it worked great until I wanted to do something different and had to start forcing the new bits in the to the tool. That’s when I stopped and went searching for visual instructions and found YOU. Thanks my tool changes out mbira nicely now 🎈
do you have to use a collet and collar in the rotary tool to attach the flexi drive shaft?? mine doesn't come with instructions and I've called the manufacturer of my rota craft and they said you don't? ? I'm so confused please help
Ty so much for this video.I have 2 problems w my WEN dremel The flex shaft wire in extension will not stop turning to lock. Then,is there something I'm not doing to get the button on the dremel to push to lock.???ty
My Hyper Tough rotary tool has a spring-like piece in the piece you unscrew to put your collet in and won't go back on so I don't know what to do. It is suppose to have 3 different collets with it so I assumed that the spring looking thing must be one of the collets. Anyway I cannot use it since none of the videos show what to do with this situation.
Hi Pamela. Although we have never had to deal with this issue, we did find some information on RU-vid about it. Here's what we found: Unplug the drill and/or remove the battery If the chuck is frozen around the bit and the chuck key won't turn, put the key in a table vise then use the leverage of turning the drill itself to loosen the chuck. If the chuck is open and the bit is still stuck, place the bit in the table vice and rock the drill back and forth to attempt to loosen the bit. Hope that helps.
I, normally, wear glasses, so do I have to take them off just like you did, or not?? >>> I don't care about the glass, if they got scratched or whatnot, so What are my options here?
Hello. Taking your prescription glasses off isn't necessary if they will allow you to see what you're working on. Most safety glasses fit nicely over prescription glasses.
Waste of time and money. Avoid this hellish thing at all costs. Wrench is child- sized and does not release bit inside chuck. I gave it enough force to start buckling the casing. By the time I gave up my Dewalt drill was charged. So I used the accessories with it instead (no puny wrench needed to change bits). Re: Vid. Best I found on YT but does not address the function and operation of the swindle lock.
Grateful you pointed this out.... I am an orthoepist (pronunciation linguist) and I hear a lot of "reader pronunciations" these days where people have never heard the actual word and basically invent the way they think it's said. I maintain a collection of these and this one is going in there! YES, this word's correct pronunciation is "CALL-it," not "Colette" (the French nickname for Nicole, as well as the pseudonym of a famous writer who used only that name). What adds to the problem these days is a video like this that perpetuates the mispronunciation. Oh, well! Otherwise, GREAT VIDEO, and I'm off to grind off some screw points in my basement ceiling w/ this fabulous tool.... "call it" what you wish
