Thanks for posting the video!! I couldn't find the IP passthrough option but your video lead me right to it!! My WiFi router is now working perfectly. Very nicely presented and easy to follow. Thanks again!!!
This screwed me all up. Set passthrough and now when I go to setup my mesh network it's telling me I'm static and it's asking for all kind of crazy settings
This is the second time I tried it and because it’s disconnected from the Internet the “applying settings” is still on the screen. It’s been 10 minutes now waiting for the settings to be applied and it’s not working and my question is should we do that on hotspot & change it and then go back to the cube?
Ever since I got the Verizon internet, it buffers all the time and it keeps cutting off my local channels, and thinks I am in Dallas... It also won't reach all the rooms in my house. I would go back to cable but it got bad as well. Would not stay on. So, I guess now I will go back to antennae? (like in the 60s)
How long do you have to wait after you hit save changes? Or could we just reboot the router ourself by unplugging it and hope that it saves the settings?
So does this turn off the VZW 5g wifi? That's what seems to have happened to me. How do I backtrack? I can no longer connect to my VZW router wirelessly. Im adraid a reset will lose all my settings.
How do you turn back on the Verizon 5G wireless network after turning on IP passthrough, or in other words, how do you go back in and turn off IP passthrough?
I know it's 7 months later but figured I'd answer this anyways. She tells you to plug your new router into the LAN2 port because the only way to access your Verizon settings after you do this is via the LAN1 port. In other words because the cube no longer outputs a wifi signal you have to hardwire into it to access the settings. You should not have to reset it.
I am curious should I set my router up on ethernet port to and then do the bypass so that I don't lose the connections to my internet. My computer does not have a ethernet port to plug directly into Verizon 5G Cube.
I followed each step and my wifi dropped in speed by half. I kept it on for a few weeks and just changed it back. Not sure why or what happened. Anyone have a similar issue and fix it?
Just how old is your mesh system? We are up to WiFi 7, but for now it is on the expensive side. WiFi 6e may be affordable e.g. TP-Link Deco AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System. If your mesh system is old, and budget is tight, try to get at least wifi 6 system as a refurb which will be available as people upgrade and sell their older system. Honestly, however, there may be other reasons for speed drop-offs such as you experience.
You went way too fast Sweetie! Every TV is different and most of us weren’t born with a cell phone in our hands! I grew up with a phone with an extension cord, pay phones on the corner and a beeper! But it was cool that you posted this in an attempt to help others!😎
