*I use this solar **Generater.Systems** at work. The building is 80 years old so there’s not a lot of electrical outlets. I use it for lights, fans, charge phones etc. works great !*
It's not about how many panels you need, but the size of the Bluetti you get. The AC200 will run your AC if it's not a huge unit. We originally got 3 solar panels to charge the AC200 and ended up buying 3 more. It charges much faster with the 6 panels. With only 3 panels, it takes 6-8 hours to re-charge the Bluetti.
Thank you so much for your video. My husband passed away with the knowledge on how to set up the solar panels. I have been afraid to ruin it. He did say that you could use it while charging it and did not explain about the power on and off button so that was good info. Knowing now that I need to power off the unit before unplugging the solar panels is good information
Thanks for watching. We are still very happy with ours. We got to participate in the rolling blackouts this summer and it came through like a champ! Be blessed.
If your panels are plugged and getting sun it’s not going to shut off manually!! So at night when the panels aren’t working then it’s the safest, just ensure to turn off the AC power option to off if you still have things plugged in…
@@appalachianmercantile I ordered it from their Maxoak website. Very poor customer service apparently. Tomorrow will be two weeks and they haven`t replied to my emails. I do have screenshots of their order confirmation email and the order details on the website. The Chinese are cut throat when it comes to business dealings but Maxoak has an American business address. I haven`t yet resorted to mentioning my channel and my pull in prepping groups all over the internet. That usually gets them motivated very quickly whether I`m exaggerating or not. Maxoak is notorious for this.
@@appalachianmercantile I had a minor issue with my Bluetti EB70 but I`m on disability and live far away from a post office out in the middle of nowhere with no transportation. So I couldn`t return it. So they finally let me keep it and sent a new one. They`re probably still mad about it. I have five free power stations for that reason which is a good thing for me being poor and living in hurricane country. Recently I had an issue with a very cheap one I bought as a Christmas gift. It didn`t appear to be charging properly. I got on a live chat with the company to ask them about it and was shocked when they immediately said "Sounds like a bad display and we`re sending a new one." It eventually started charging right though and now works fine. A few days later I got the new one, then three days after that I got another one. I didn`t say a word. LOL! They all work fine.
Should there be a separate connector cable that should have come with the panel to connect them together? I don't seem to have that first cable that connects with the second unit. Blessings. Dan
Well done. I always say when I see our deck filled with sunshine that I'm leaving money on the table unless I've got my panels out. We just bought the BLUETTI AC300 + 1*B300 | Home Battery Backup and are about to get it connected to our house to 1) provide power when we have blackouts (which are all too long and frequent), 2) to allow us to shift onto batteries during grid peak hours to save us some money, and 3) start collecting some of that free electricity falling on our property.
@@BeefNEggs057 Since posting a year ago it turns out that our electricity bill has been reduced by about $50 per month. This includes charging our electric car and my ebike. We've also gotten through several power outages with light and heat when our neighbors sat in the dark and cold for hours. We continue to be very pleased with our meager arrangement and anticipate to get even greater benefit as electricity rates climb.
Have you figured out why if you run 4 x 200 watt panels, and separately plugged in I get 100 watts separately for each panel. Why we can only get 160 watts at each UV hours
There is an input limit, but I believe that is 230 watts. I would have to check. It sounds to me like it is your angle to the sun. It needs to be a direct hit. We use 6 panels and are much happier with the results. Bear in mind, any kind of interference with the sun (i.e. tree limbs that would create a shadow as the sun moves) will drastically reduce your input. We do monitor the system as the sun moves to ensure we have the correct angle and aren't getting any shadowing.
I have a Bluetti EB70S battery with a Bluetti PV120 Watts solar panel. I would like to know what happens if I add a second solar panel, 120 watts for example, to recharge my EB70S battery. I ask the question because the EB70S can take a load of 200 W and in my example I give it 240 W. It is certain that a panel does not necessarily give its maximum, 120 W can give for example 90 or 100 W depending on sunshine and different conditions. But what if the conditions were optimal I had a theoretical total of 240 W? Thank You
I have the exact same units and set up but I’m getting only 24-26 volts input, without any amps nor watts kicking in. Anyone can shed some lights on why? Panels are new and facing strong sunshine in Puerto Rico. What did I do wrong. I tested it on all my 3 units and the all have the same problems!
But I'm only seeing numbers for my input voltage. I'm not seeing any info displayed on the home screen beside the panels and it's also flatlined when I click the panels to view the input current and input power. I have switched it to PV from the settings. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the question. On our units the input voltage is displayed on home screen only as well. It also displays the percentage of charge. These are the only 2 that I track. I know if the input voltage is not above 130 the unit is not charging. I have never gotten into tracking the panel input since they are all connected as one input. I think the flatline is because the unit is limited to home screen info only.
@@appalachianmercantile hmmmmm I see. When I connect my panel it's only reading about 23 on the input voltage. Does this mean I need to purchase an additional panel? I'd hate to have to spend another $500 for more panels. Thanks for the response!!!!!
@@appalachianmercantile I looked on the user guide and it says the panels need to be between 35v and 150v. The bluetti panel I purchased says voltage at max power is 20v. Does this mean it's the incorrect solar panel?
@@wanderingeyes11 It could very well mean just that. I know we bought ours as a bundle because we wanted to ensure the panels were the right ones. You could have panels meant for a smaller unit.
@@wanderingeyes11 Depending on which unit you purchased, I'm guessing you will need additional panels. We use 6 panels for ours but could get by with only 3.
Dang, i got my bluetti eb3a a few days ago, the panels arrived today, now im finding out i need a special adapter to connect the panels to the gennie.. why cant they just include the dang adapter
LOL When we bought the second one, we bought it as a bundle. The adapter came with it. When we were having the customer service issues with the first one, I was on the website and saw that the adapter came up as a 'suggested' purchase. Sooooo....when I was buying the bundle, I also bought an additional adapter not knowing that when you bought it as a bundle it came with it. Now we have a spare. Website and customer service do need some work, but we do love it. We've had to use it more than once this summer with the rolling blackouts.
@@appalachianmercantile Ha, i ordered thru amazon and this being my 1st solar generator im really not sure what im doing..lol.. I'm going to check a frw stores today and see if i can find an adapter, if not i have one ordered along with an extension coord..
@@Liimpy We ordered through the Bluetti website because it was cheaper. I'm guessing a Best Buy or some place like that would have the adapter. Good luck! Hopefully you got 3 solar panels and not just one. Otherwise, it will take a lot longer to charge.
@@appalachianmercantile Thanks, I'll definitely check best buy.. i ordered the 200w panel set from bluetti, i thinks that the max input the eb3a can accept
@@jkid8948 That's why we made the video. We just learned by doing and wanted to help others. It just took way too long for their customer service to get back to us. :) We are here to help if we can.
