In this first video, we're going to talk about how to do a quick setup, straight out of the box with your eQuinox 2. This is what we call a "quick start guide"
In the first half hour of use, right out of the box, I saw great views of three different objects. Considering that I live in a town with Bortle 7 skies, I was very impressed. I was also impressed with how professional and sturdy the telescope and its included tripod are when held in the hands.
The deep sky objects are too faint for the naked eye to see much. The scope is basically tracking and stacking frames, that's why the slight delay for enhanced. If you point it at something bright and close, say Jupiter, you'll see more with the naked eye (but enhanced will still give you a better result for a photo). Note that only the more expensive EVSCOPE 2 has an eyepiece (and it's technically an electronic eyepiece...I have the EQUINOX so I'm not sure if it's a hybrid or a fully electronic eyepiece on the EVSCOPE 2). The EQUINOX scope requires you to use a device for viewing. I know some people get all up in arms about viewing on a device, but it's not like modern astronomers sit at eyepieces either. Personally I like being able to drive somewhere remote, set up my EQUINOX, and then sit in my warm vehicle with an iPad.
FOLKS DO NOT GET THIS THE TRIPOD IS NOT STURDY! Its actually less robust as they say though it is made in china.. which is no surprise but with the quality it presents. Definitely not worth it mine broke....
